Craig Conover and Charley Manley are still not on the same page about why their romance ended on Southern Charm.
Though Craig and Charley did not fully delve into their split on Season 11’s Reunion Part 1, they’ve already offered viewers a clear picture of the drama to come. In the opening minutes of the two-part special, for example, both Austen Kroll and Shep Rose accused Craig of having what the latter referred to as a “reality distortion,” when host Andy Cohen noticed Charley seeming to nod in agreement.
“Yeah, I do think that in some certain situations that I’ve been a part of, I do not have the same explanation of it that Craig does,” Charley explained.

Craig’s response? “I just call it how I see it. Especially this year, I was 100 percent myself, and, like, that’s all you can do is just be vulnerable.”
Craig Conover accused Charley Manley of “talking to other boys” while they were together
A bit later, Andy asked Charley what Craig “was like as a suitor,” to which she replied, “Oh, he was great.” Immediately, Craig chimed in, “And then this world got involved, and it just went away,” motioning to their castmates, particularly Salley Carson.
Salley, for her part, fired back, “I hate that I’m blamed for y’all not being together, because that is bulls–t,” prompting Craig to say, “No, the whole time you just were like, ‘Charley’s talking to other boys.'”

When Salley confirmed that was true, Craig continued, “Right, but she promised she wasn’t talking to anyone else the whole time we were together.”
Charley, meanwhile, insisted that she did not make such a promise to Craig, reminding him, “There was a time whenever you were like, ‘Oh my god, should I get back on Raya?’ And I was like, ‘Hell yeah. I’m on Raya,'” referring to the exclusive, membership-based dating app.
Ultimately, Craig disputed her timeline before concluding that Salley had actually been “looking out for” him, and, in hindsight, he “should’ve believed” her over Charley.
What’s ahead for Craig Conover and Charley Manley on the Southern Charm Reunion Part II
Andy promised during Southern Charm‘s March 18 episode that he would “dig more into” the drama between Craig, Charley, and Salley later. In the meantime, the Reunion Part II breakdown offered hints at what viewers can expect.
According to the reunion announcement, “Charley shares an exciting update about her dating status, but a shocking accusation is thrown her way, forcing Salley to take sides in an escalating conflict. Attention shifts to Craig as the group holds him accountable for his behavior in Mexico.”
Why Charley Manley ended things with Craig Conover
During the Season 11 cast trip to Mexico, Charley referred to witnessing Craig’s heated confrontation with Salley during a post-dinner van ride back to their resort as “the straw that broke the camel’s back” for her. Â
“It’s awkward because I’ve already made up in my mind that I don’t see him, like, romantically anymore,” Charley remarked in an Episode 14 confessional. “But I don’t really know if he’s picking up on my change in feelings.”
Charley eventually revealed her decision to Craig during the Season 11 finale’s Carolina Day party. During their one-on-one, she insisted that she still saw a friendship with Craig in the future, though he told her that he did not foresee a platonic relationship working out for them.
On the Southern Charm After Show, Craig, for his part, doubled down on his claim that their castmates had tainted Charley’s view of him.
Craig theorized that if Charley had agreed to give their romance a “chance outside of filming” that they “would’ve had so much fun” together. However, he went on to concede that Charley was not “the right fit” for him, because she lacked the “conviction” that he is currently looking for in his next relationship.
