Craig Conover is opening up about the engagement ring that he says he bought for Paige DeSorbo before their breakup late last year.
The Southern Charm cast member and his Summer House ex broke up at the end of 2024. But before the split, Craig says he had purchased Paige a ring as he was planning on proposing to her. While Craig initially revealed this during the Southern Charm Season 10 finale (more on that down below), he has since shared more details about the ring that he purchased (and later returned to the jeweler).Â
Craig appeared on The Toast podcast on Wednesday, June 25, where he showed a picture of the ring that he says he purchased in 2024. Craig said he had purchased the ring in secret during a trip to the Diamond District in Manhattan last year with his brother and sister-in-law. “I bought it at the end of March, but it took seven weeks to get delivered,” he said. “But I had it in my room since April or May, and would look at it a lot.”
Craig revealed that he ended up buying a “four-carat elongated cushion cut” diamond ring “with a hidden halo underneath it.” The ring was “platinum,” and Craig had held onto it without knowing when he would propose to her.
“It was a really fun process,” he added. “And I’m excited to do it, you know, again one day.”

Craig returned the ring that he had bought Paige to the jeweler he bought it from, and he will “get the money back when he sells it.” But, the ring has not yet sold.
“I mean, returning an engagement ring isn’t something you plan on doing,” he said on the podcast. “But it’s funny, when I bought it, he was like, ‘Hey, in case anything happens, I’ll work with you to do it.’ He’s like, ‘It’s just something that I tell people.’ And so when I brought it back, I felt weird, but it wasn’t weird.'”

Craig first said that he had bought Paige a ring during Southern Charm Season 10, Episode 15, after cameras were picked up after their breakup. During the Southern Charm Season 10 Reunion Part 1, Craig shared some insight into their final time meeting up, which happened during a trip to NYC in December 2024.
“She was like, ‘I am probably making the worst mistake of my life, but I need to go find myself.’ And then I asked her, like, ‘What do you want me to do with your ring?'” he recalled. “She was like, ‘Well, keep it. Maybe we’ll get married at BravoCon.'”
“I will say that when we were together in private is what I based our relationship off of. And there weren’t signs,” he added.

During Part 1 of the Summer House Season 9 Reunion, Paige shared her thoughts about the ring that Craig had bought for her. “That ring does not exist,” she said.
“I know his tells when he’s lying…a custom ring, no one’s letting you return it a year later,” she added.
