‘Cult Mom’ Lori Vallow Daybell & Jailed Husband Are Allowed to Communicate – Crime Online

On Monday, Idaho prosecutors alerted the courts that there is no order barring communication between convicted killer Lori Vallow Daybell and her husband, who is awaiting trial.

The courts denied a “strategy meeting” between Vallow Daybell and Chad Daybell in January, claiming it could result in their attorneys becoming “witnesses and security of the parties.”

However, Madison County Prosecutor Rob Wood and Fremont County Prosecutor Lindsey Blake wrote in their latest motion that they are unaware of any orders that completely bar contact between the married couple, according to the Rexburg Standard Journal.

Vallow Daybell was sentenced in late July to life without parole for the September 2019 slayings of her two children, J.J. Vallow and Tylee Ryan, 7 and 16, who were reportedly found buried on her husband’s property nine months after their disappearances.

Vallow Daybell also got a life sentence for conspiring the murder of her husband’s late wife in October 2019. Daybell, who is scheduled to stand trial in 2024, has a court hearing scheduled for November 29.

Vallow Daybell did not face the death penalty in the Idaho case. Last week, Daybell asked the court to spare him from the death penalty as well.

Vallow Daybell remains jailed in Idaho as her appeal is pending. Once that matter is settled, she will be extradited to face murder charges in Arizona — where her then-husband, Charles Vallow, was killed in July 2019. Vallow Daybell’s brother, Alex Cox, reportedly shot and killed Charles Vallow and claimed self-defense. Cox died, reportedly of natural causes, in December 2019.

During Vallow Daybell’s murder trial, defense attorneys blamed the slayings on her husband and brother. Forensic experts testified that Cox’s fingerprint was on a bag containing J.J.’s body.

Vallow Daybell also faces charges in Arizona for conspiring to kill her nephew-in-law who testified against her at her Idaho trial.
