If you ask Below Deck Sailing Yacht alum, Dani Soares, how much her world has changed since she welcomed her baby girl into her life several years ago, it’s pretty clear it’s a lot. She’s also loving every minute of being daughter Lilly’s side.
Dani, who has left the world of yachting behind, often posts updates on her experience as a proud mom to her little girl. “Changed my life in so many ways, that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to put into words,” she wrote in April 2025. Still, Dani does often find ways to find the words to share her experience with her followers.
That same year, she shared a sweet tribute to Lilly on her birthday in May. “Happy 4th birthday! Technically, today, you become a child, not a toddler anymore,” she said. “And it gets me emotional thinking about the day you were born and how much life has changed. It’s a privilege to be in your life, and I’m so lucky to be your mum.”

Last year, timed to Mother’s Day, Dani reflected on the powerful experience of motherhood and all aspects of it. “Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums out there cause this ain’t easy. And also to those with mums far away, with mums that are not here anymore, those who are trying to be mums, with sleeping babies, and all those who find this day difficult,” she wrote.

Dani lives in Australia and officially became an Australian citizen in 2025. “As of the 17th of September 2025, this girl is an Australian!” she wrote at the time on Instagram. “So happy to be part of a country that offered me and my daughter so much. The last pic was my first week in Australia, with Lilly in my tummy and full of hope.”

She also shared a bit more about her life today and her interesting work experience in an Instagram post back in 2025. In it, she also revealed more about her dating life as navigates life as a single mom.
“Hi, I’m Dani. If you’re new here, welcome. I’m not a glam influencer, you’re not gonna see a perfect feed or glam all week. But I’ll share the ups and downs of being a solo parent, a nurse and an almost 40-year-old trying to find myself and perhaps even date again,” she wrote. “I’m now a nurse but I’ve been an yachtie (you might have seen me on a show called Below Deck Sailing yacht), a flight attendant for Emirates, worked on cruise ships, beauty therapist and many things in between.”
