Liam Kearns was an Irish Gaelic football coach and former prolific player. The prolific sports personality managed Offaly from 2022 successfully until his demise in March 2023.

Kearns led the county to a one-point victory over Longford seven days prior to being named Offaly’s manager on 11 August 2022 for a three-year tenure.

The 61-year-old was formerly in charge of Tipperary, Laois, and Limerick. He oversaw Limerick for six years, guiding them to Division 1 and the 2004 and 2003 Munster championships, pushing Kerry to a replay in the latter decider.

Additionally, he led Limerick’s U21 team to consecutive Munster championships and a spot in the All-Ireland final.

Kearns had a reputation as a shrewd tactician and a highly respected manager within Gaelic football circles. He will always be known for his ability to motivate players and his keen eye for talent.
