Decomposing Leg ID’d as Teen Girl Missing Since Last Year; Murder Suspect Arrested – Crime Online

California police said last week that partial human remains found in December belong to a 17-year-old girl who vanished the same month.

On December 21, Imperial County police discovered a decomposing human leg at a vacant lot in Salton City. The Mercury News reported that DNA testing confirmed the leg as belonging to T’Neya Tovar, who was reported missing by her mother on December 1 after she took a trip to Palm Springs and failed to return to Hemet.

On Friday, police executed a search warrant at Abraham Feinbloom’s home in Salton City. Feinbloom, 51, was apprehended after he was seen jumping a fence, presumably to avoid capture, according to the Desert Sun.

According to KESQ, Tovar’s friends told her mother that they saw Tovar and Feinbloom together at a Los Angeles transit station in October. However, it is unclear how they met.

Weeks into Tovar’s disappearance, her parents went to Salton City and requested a welfare check. They claimed police knocked on the door but never forced entry, insinuating Tovar may be a runaway. However, neighbors reported hearing drums and screams coming from the residence, according to KESQ.

Residents also told the news outlet that forensic trucks are visited Feinbloom’s home in 2015. They also claimed they saw Feinbloom installed security cameras at his home on December 23, days after Tovar’s reported disappearance.

KESQ reported that Feinbloom’s arrest came a week after authorities came to the area to serve a search warrant.

Feinbloom, who remains jailed without bail, is charged with murder and resisting a peace officer. Tovar’s cause of death remains undisclosed.
