Lala Kent is still searching for love, and a “hot” prospect in the form of a lifeguard hired for her daughter Sosa’s first birthday party appeared during The Valley Season 3, Episode 2. So did anything happen between Lala and the lifeguard after the party? The mom of two gave all the details during The Valley After Show.
“Nothing happened with it,” Lala clarified on the After Show, before quipping, “The lifeguard was not safe that day—baby on the hip. I know it’s my daughter’s first birthday.”
She also opened up about her view on romantic encounters as a single mom of two: “I was in a funky place for a minute, where it was like, I hadn’t slept with anybody since literally 2022, and then it was a dry spell like before I hooked up with the Don,” she shared on the After Show of her relationship with model Don Lopez, who appeared on Vanderpump Rules Season 10.
“I was pregnant [with Sosa] for nine months, and then I was post-partum, so then I ripped the Band-Aid off, and after that I was like, ‘No one is safe,’” she joked. “I mean, I spotted a guy at the stoplight and f—king hollered at him and started sleeping with him.”
What happened between Lala Kent and the lifeguard at Sosa’s first birthday party?
During the April 8 episode, Lala introduced herself to the lifeguard, who said his name was Elijah and that he was 38.
“Hi! I know we’re at my daughter’s first birthday, but is it weird if I have you take my number down?” she asked him after commenting he was “handsome,” and later joked, “Okay, I’ll catch you later—at nap time.”
At one point, Michelle Saniei asked Lala if she wanted her to hold Sosa so she could chat with Elijah. Lala admitted to being “nervous” over the situation.
“If it weren’t my daughter’s first birthday party, I would probably go have a quickie,” she noted to producers.
Is Lala Kent dating anyone today?
After her encounter with the lifeguard in September 2025, Lala has since mentioned a “mystery man.”
“I have someone who I’ve been communicating with,” she admitted during the Dec. 26, 2025, episode of Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap. “He gets me giddy, and we’ll see where it goes. We’re just gonna have fun with it.”

“I’m finally just out here ready to mingle,” she explained. “I told myself going into 2026, I was going to be open to love. So, that was new for me, because we all know how much I’ve talked about hating men. Sorry. I’m not there anymore. So we’re open to like finding our person.”
