Ohio authorities are still looking for an elderly man who has been missing since late last month.
WTVG reported that family members last saw Dr. Cletus Iwuagwu, 71, at his office on November 24. Iwuagwu’s daughter received updates on her phone about his whereabouts, but police did not find him at any of those locations.
Iwuagwu, a geriatrician, was released from the hospital shortly before his disappearance. His phone has not been found, but police have been searching throughout Holland and Springfield Townships because the device pinged off a cell tower in the area, according to WTOL.
WTOL reported that an underwater drone and sonar equipment were used to search a lake near Iwuagwu’s home. The technology detected something suspicious, but it ended up being a lawn chair.
Lucas County police Lieutenant John Leach said a home camera captured Iwuagwu standing on the porch at around 2 a.m. He may have been wearing a hoodie, Leach said, but it is impossible to confirm its color due to how early it was.
WTOL reported that there is no indication Iwuagwu has left the area, and police are following up on leads that he was seen walking around. Police noted that the missing doctor’s car was left at the home and that he did not leave behind a note.
Iwuagwu was described as standing 5 feet 4 inches tall, and weighing about 180 pounds. Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts should call the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office at 419-255-8443.
