Season 6 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City recently saw Bronwyn Newport tell Whitney Rose that she’d be willing to “try” an open marriage with her husband, Todd Bradley — and now, she’s revealing how he reacted to their conversation.

“Well, he knew before he saw it, obviously. We talked in the interim,” Bronwyn explained during Peacock’s Sunday Night Football: Reality Hot Seat on Dec. 7. “I think it was really hard for him to watch.”
“I mean, I might get benched for a season; I might get traded to another team,” she added during the football-themed live broadcast. “He knows, obviously, it’s our marriage, we have conversations about it. I think it really shocked him.”
Why? Largely because she was talking to someone else about their personal issues. “I spoke to Whitney about it … That might have felt like I was giving the other team our playbook,” Bronwyn concluded. “So I might have been in trouble for that.”

Bronwyn and Whitney openly discussed the “arrangement[s]” of their marriages on RHOSLC Season 6, Episode 9, which came at the heels of Todd looking at photos of other women during a fight from New York City to Salt Lake City. It helped, after all, that both women understood the challenges of being married to older men, as Justin Rose is 18 years older than Whitney, and Todd is 26 years older than Bronwyn.

“If Todd said to me, ‘I’d like to sleep with other people’ or ‘I’d like us to do it together,’ I would… I’d at least try it,” Bronwyn confessed.
That being said, Bronwyn also stated that in spite of Todd’s recent actions, she didn’t want to call it quits on their marriage just yet.

On RHOSLC Season 6, Episode 10, Todd fiercely objected to Bronwyn and Whitney’s conversation. “I don’t know why anything related to me can’t be left in this house,” he told his wife of nine years. “Why does it have to be shared with a group of untrustworthy friends?”
Tensions aside, the couple sat down for a peace negotiation, during which Bronwyn reminded Todd of her willingness to explore bedroom-related matters, so long as it meant strengthening their marriage. She maintained, “I’m as open to whatever would make you happy that is possible for me to do. If you wanted to do something different or have an arrangement or be open or whatever else, I would consider it. I would do whatever I needed to do to evolve with you.”

Todd, for his part, cited a lack of open communication for their recent bout, and they both eventually admitted they came into the initial argument “pretty hot.”
“I can always admit when I’m wrong, and I was wrong,” Todd said. “But I’m very happy being with you and the relationship we have. What matters is that we talked about it, we resolved it, and we’re moving forward.”
