Kristi McBee may be known as the “peacemaker” of the rowdy McBee family, but after Season 2, Episode 5 of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys, it seems like the mom of four isn’t interested in healing her relationship with Steven McBee Jr.’s on-again, off-again girlfriend Calah Jackson.
In fact, Kristi got quite candid about her feelings toward Calah in a confessional interview on the July 28 episode. Asked by a producer if she thinks Calah is a “gold digger,” Kristi began nodding, explaining, “Funny you say that. That’s what was said when they first met. Honestly, I’m getting really frustrated with it.”
The admission came after Calah asked Steven Jr. to co-sign on an apartment in Dallas, only for him to tell her, “I’d probably have to bring in my mom.”

But despite her previous confessional statement, Kristi said, “Of course I’ll help.”
“I would do anything to get her out of his life,” Kristi added in another confessional interview. “I don’t do well with someone playing victim all the time and that’s what she does. The last thing I want to see is my son in an unhealthy, toxic relationship.”
This wasn’t the only time Kristi voiced her concern for Steven Jr. and Calah’s dynamic, though.

Later on during Episode 5, Calah got into an argument with Cole McBee, which turned into a heated exchange between her and Steven Jr.
Kristi attempted to diffuse the situation, saying everyone needed to go to sleep and calm down. However, the argument continued to escalate, causing Steven Jr. to lash out on Calah in the dining room. “You want to make things as bad as humanly possible between you and everyone in my family!” he yelled.
“What the f–k is wrong with you?” Calah said, crying. She proceeded to leave the room and pack up her things. As Calah prepared to go home alone, Kristi gave her eldest son a reality check.

“You guys cannot be together,” she told him. “I’ve been telling you this for how long now, bud? You guys make each other miserable.”
“I’m done with all this,” Kristi continued in a confessional. “Steven isn’t perfect, but [Calah] is poison for my family and I’m not gonna allow it anymore.”
