Dolores Catania’s Daughter Gabby Is Engaged: Reactions & Details

There’s about to be another wedding in the Catania family! Dolores Catania’s daughter, Gabby Catania, confirmed she’s engaged to her boyfriend, Mike. The Real Housewives of New Jersey daughter shared the engagement news on Friday, March 20 when she posted a photo of her boyfriend proposing on a snowy mountain in Aspen, Colorado.

Gabby captioned a photo of the moment he popped the question with just a heart emoji. While Gabby is active on social media, she has kept her relationship with her now-fiancé mostly out of the spotlight.

Proud mom, Dolores, had a bit more to say about the happy news. “Congratulations Gabby and Mike,” she commented on the Instagram post. “We are so happy for u god bless and love u always.”

Dolores wasn’t the only member of the family and their extended circle of loved ones who was excited by the news. Paulie Connell, who is engaged to Dolores, shared, “Congratulations to you Mike. Epic as always from you. G so so happy for you both, can’t wait to celebrate.”

Gabby’s stepmom, Brittany, who married her dad, Frank Catania, in late 2024, also shared her excitement for Gabby and her fiancé. “Congratulations,” she commented. “So happy for you guys.”

Teresa Giudice also shared her well wishes for the newly-engaged couple.”Congratulations,” she wrote. “So happy for both of you.”
 
Melissa Gorga also celebrated the news in the comments, writing, “Omg!!!! She is the sweetest girl in the world. Congratulations!!!! The whole Catania family is getting married!!!!!!”

Dolores Catania opens up about her family’s many recent engagements

Gabby’s engagement comes within months of a couple of other engagements in her family, including Dolores and Paulie’s engagement, as well as Gabby’s brother Frankie and his fiancée Nicole Perricho’s plans to marry.

With so many weddings coming up for the family, Dolores shared with The Daily Dish, timing will be everything when it comes time for her and Paulie to say “I do.” So instead, she is focused on plans for an engagement party for herself and Paulie so that her son can have  “his moment” at his and Nicole’s nuptials happening in Portugal later this year. With Gabby just confirming her engagement, no word yet on when she plans to get married.

Dolores Catania sheds light on her daughter’s life today

Gabby works as a vet and is a known animal lover. Dolores previously shared in an interview with The Daily Dish (in a different interview), some info on Gabby’s life at home. “She likes living alone,” Dolores said. “She says the house stays clean that way. With six dogs and herself. I’m like, ‘OK whatever, Gabby.’ So then I was kidding around with her last night. I was like, ‘Oh Gab, you know, maybe I’ll just come back a few days a week and just hang out since you’re here alone.’ She’s like, ‘I didn’t ask you to do that.’ So I’m like, ‘I got you.'” 

And while Dolores is a known beauty fanatic, she admits that Gabby hasn’t inherited that trait from her. “Gabby doesn’t even brush her hair. I think she has a puppy in her hair sometimes. I mean, it’s a big matted thing. I’m like, what, is that a puppy? Is it breathing?” she said. “Gabby’s very, like…she uses the bar of soap for shampoo. She’s very into conservation, and I don’t know where she comes from, actually.” 

Of course, Dolores never misses the chance to gush about her kids, including what being a mom has taught her.
