Dorit Kemsley sat down with Kyle Richards’ estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, during The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 15, Episode 9, and she’s now reflecting on their intense conversation.
Dorit had sat down with the real estate agent in an attempt to try to communicate with her estranged husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, amid their divorce. But, during a March 19 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Dorit admitted that she did regret sitting down with PK’s BFF.
“I was naïve to think that what he was saying was true and wanted to believe that he genuinely wanted to help the situation and could be unbiased,” she said during the WWHL After Show. “I know Mau came in to essentially be PK’s voice on the show.”
“But I think the thing that upset me the most, hurt me the most, is that when Mau was essentially suggesting that PK does not have a problem with alcohol,” she continued. “And PK sat in front of him the year before telling him, ‘I have a disease. I didn’t know how bad of a disease I had it.’ And Mau, you know, PK’s a party friend, and he’s one of PK’s closest friends. PK needs good friends around him right now. His kids should be the single most important thing, not having a social buddy whose going to go out and party with you.”
“I think that it just hurt me, upset me, and I gave it oxygen,” Dorit added. “So that’s why I regret it.”

Dorit also admitted she believes that Mauricio’s ongoing friendship with her estranged husband is a reason why Kyle still talks to PK. During the WWHLÂ After Show, Dorit was asked “Do you think that Kyle uses you and and that whole conversation as a way to stay close to Mau?”
And Dorit agreed with this. “I do,” she said. “I think that’s one aspect for sure. Unfortunately a little too much of an aspect.”

Dorit had gone into her conversation with Mauricio during RHOBH Season 15, Episode 9 expecting to get through to PK. Dorit and Mauricio discussed PK’s access to their two kids, their financial arrangement, and PK’s relationship with alcohol, but they both had different perspectives on these subjects. “There’s always two sides to every story and there’s different perception,” Mauricio said during their conversation. “It sounds like you guys have to talk.”

Dorit then took to a confessional, where she shared her honest thoughts about her conversation with Mauricio. “Even though I had my reservations, there was a flicker of hope,” she admitted. “I wanted to believe that Mau had the capability of being unbiased. Oh my God, was I wrong…This is f—kin’ two hours of my life I will never get back. This meeting was a complete waste of time.”
