Among several points of contention in Dorit Kemsley and Paul “PK” Kemsley’s ongoing divorce is the division of financial responsibilities, as she revealed on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
During a candid conversation with her parents, who were visiting from Florida in Season 15, Episode 2, Dorit stated, “PK used to handle everything. And now, it’s like he’s dumped a lot of things in my lap, without any notice.”
The mom of two went on to elaborate in a confessional that she was referring to some unexpected expenses.
“I’ve not had a conversation with PK to learn what he’s expecting me to pay or what he’s paying,” Dorit explained. “I just find out from the business manager if he decides he’s no longer paying something. It lands right in my lap. I don’t know what’s coming, when it’s coming.”

She continued, “PK doesn’t give me any money. … He expects me to pay the bills. And he believes he’s doing more than enough. I don’t even know what he’s doing.”
As Dorit added while chatting with her parents — who noted they were “worried” about her well-being amid all the split-related stress — she had also taken on the added costs of hiring a new business manager and a divorce attorney.
“So, it’s like, to have to make all of those changes and do all of those things like that when you are in fight or flight, while trying to be a mom and parent, how you worry about me, imagine it’s 100 times more how I worry for my kids,” she shared.

Finances aside, Dorit and PK’s coparenting arrangement was another source of conflict that came up during RHOBH‘s Dec. 11 episode.
When Kyle Richards asked Dorit if she had “gone on any dates” recently, she responded, “My husband is too busy torturing me,” before detailing an issue PK had with their children, Jagger, 11, and Phoenix, 9, visiting her parents in Florida.
According to Dorit, the vacation was already planned, but after PK returned from a weeks-long trip to Europe, she received a letter from a lawyer “saying that he’s gonna block it.” As she further shared with her castmates, “He called up, he spoke to Phoenix, and he said, ‘OK, well if they’re going, then Daddy’s going to come to Florida. And we’ll stay in a hotel, and you’ll be with me.'”

Dorit went on to tearfully share a “heartbreaking” story about how Jagger “has been walking around like he’s got the weight of the world.” Within “five minutes” of her parents arriving in Beverly Hills, however, she claimed that her son seemed to finally be back to his old self.
“Do you know what that’s like for me?” she asked, as Kyle embraced her. “And going to sleep every night thinking, my god, how they’re gonna be affected.”
As Dorit put it to a producer, “My kids, they needed love and support and just to be around family. This is the first time, the first time I’m seeing the impact of my and PK’s divorce, and it’s ripping my heart out of my chest. It just feels like whatever I’m doing, it’s not enough.”

The mood quickly shifted, however, when Kyle encouraged Dorit to meet PK “in the middle” and let him join the kids on the Florida getaway.
As the group debated the issue, Dorit’s responses grew increasingly more heated.
“He’s doing it to hurt me,” she declared, prompting Kyle to push back, “Maybe he is, maybe he’s not.” Kyle’s response did not sit well with Dorit, who further addressed their tense moment in a confessional.
“Really? You can actually have the audacity to say, ‘Well, maybe and maybe not?'” Dorit remarked. “Do you know how to show up 100 percent ever? I’m broken. What more proof do you need? You have known me almost 10 years. How many times have you seen me this way?”
