Erika Jayne is “happy” in her new relationship with her boyfriend, John McPhee. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member is currently “dating” one special person, and although they are taking it very slow, she could not be happier.
Erika appeared on her podcast, Diamonds in the Rough, on Oct. 12, where she revealed to co-host Teddi Mellencamp that she and John took a trip to Panama. “It was probably one of the best trips I’ve ever had,” she admitted. “John and I went; he actually took me there.”
“He and I had a really nice trip,” she added. “Like dates and dinners and holding hands and walking around the old city of Panama. And it was so lovely. I was able to be and just sort of clear my mind, and I was really happy there.”
She continued, noting that her next chapter with John is “up for grabs.” “I just don’t know what’s coming, and sometimes that’s OK,” she said. “I want inner peace. I want peace after these last five years.”

Erika is dating John McPhee, who is a retired U.S. Army special operations sergeant major, according to E! News. During a July 30 episode of her podcast, Erika revealed that he “doesn’t live” in Southern California, but she was enjoying every moment they spend together. “So this is a really nice person and I enjoy my time with him,” she said.

Erika briefly opened up about her relationship at BravoCon 2025. The “XXPEN$IVE” singer appeared on the Livin’ in Beverly Hills panel on Friday, Nov. 14, where she revealed how serious things are between them.

“It’s slow,” she admitted. “And I think that’s the right thing to do. Just slow.”

She opened up about this moment at the panel. “So I started dating someone in June, and we had a FaceTime call,” she explained. “And Kyle was actually the first person that I shared this with.”

Erika continued to dish on her relationship during that July episode of her podcast. She noted that there’s a level of comfort that comes with this new relationship.
“I feel comfortable holding this person’s hand, and he’s a nice man,” she said. “You know, I haven’t been seen with anyone in five years.”

Prior to entering her relationship, Erika had been very open about what she looks for in a relationship and partner. Erika took to her podcast last November, where she shared her unique outlook on dating.

“I never look at men and find them attractive,” she stated. “I always say this. I’m never looking at the way someone looks, necessarily. I’m always looking at the feeling I get from them.”

Before hard launching her relationship, it was rumored that Erika had hooked up with Summer House‘s Jesse Solomon during a visit to NYC, according to People. But Erika shut these rumors down during a June 13 episode of her podcast.
“First of all, no, the alleged hookup would have taken place, they said, at Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, in New York City after Upfronts,” Erika said. “I was at home. Erika is still in the midst of her divorce from her ex-husband, Tom Girardi, which has not yet been finalized. The mom of one opened up about this during an episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, which aired after RHOBH Season 14, Episode 5.
“It’ll be four years in like two weeks that I left home and everything happened. Yeah, four years,” she said. “So in that four years, I’ve been able to accept a lot of things, heal through a lot of things, and I will continue to do that.”
“It just kind of is what it is,” she added. “I just try to maintain the healthiest attitude possible going forward.”
