The Desperate Housewives alum, who stepped behind the camera for the female-led flick, recently teased The Kardashians star’s performance.
Eva told People this week, “It’s so much fun. We just wrapped after three months of filming. We ended in Vegas. It was a dream job.”
The 51-year-old described the Netflix flick as a “big, unapologetically R-rated female comedy” that feels “modern and contemporary.”

As for Kim, Eva called her longtime friend the “anchor” of the film, sharing, “Kim and I have been friends for 25 years, and when I got the job, she said, ‘Oh, thank God Eva knows I’m funny.'”
She added, “And she is, she’s so funny. I cannot wait for the world to see how great she is in this movie and hopefully spark more female comedies.”
Could this be the beginning of Kimmy transitioning into the comedy world?
Brenda Song, Nikki Glaser, and Will Ferrell also star in the upcoming movie, which is expected to be released in 2026 or 2027.
The Fifth Wheel’s synopsis on IMDb reads: “A group of best friends from high school attempt to reconnect during a weekend jaunt to Vegas. When a hot outsider crashes the weekend, they’re forced to face their messy lives, bad decisions, and unraveling friendships.”
