A former cornerback for the New York Giants has been missing since July.
The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System said Sam Beal, 29, vanished after dropping off his girlfriend at a family member’s home on July 13, 2025. Beal was using his girlfriend’s vehicle, which he was to use to drive to work, but he headed towards Virginia Beach.
Beal reportedly told his girlfriend over the phone that he was in Virginia Beach, but he was going home. However, he has not been heard from since.
A family member discovered Beal’s girlfriend’s car, which had Beal’s socks and shoes in front of the front passenger seat. Sand was also found in the car.
The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System said Beal left with a wallet which contained his driver’s license and banking card. Beal’s case was entered into the national missing person’s database in October, though it is unclear when his disappearance was first reported to authorities.
Drafted by the Giants 2018, Beal played for two seasons before for opting out in 2020 due to the pandemic. He was cut from the team the following year.
Beal was described as standing 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 185 pounds, and having short black hair and a short beard.
