Family-Friendly YouTuber Mr. Crafty Pants Busted on Child Porn Charges – Crime Online

Kentucky police arrested a famous internet personality last week for allegedly sharing sexually explicit photos of children online.

Authorities were reportedly tipped off about Michael Booth, 39, known on YouTube as Mr. Crafty Pants, who allegedly sent the illicit images via his Kik accounts between August 5 and 7.

An investigation determined Booth sent photos of children younger than 12 at least 10 times, and children older than 12 on at least 15 instances, according to WDKY.

The Kik account that was used to send these images allegedly included two selfies of Booth, suggesting the account belongs to him. Investigators also linked three files depicting children to him, according to WAVE.

Booth’s YouTube channel, where he shared art and crafting tips, has more than 500,000 followers. The channel is currently unavailable, and it is unclear whether YouTube took it down in light of his arrest on child pornography charges.

WDRB reported that a Halloween sign in front of Booth’s Prospect home reads, “I smell children.”

Booth, who was arrested on October 22, has pleaded not guilty. His bail was set at $100,000.
