Father & Son Charged in Murders of Pregnant Teen & Her Boyfriend – Crime Online

A father and his 19-year-old son have been arrested for the deaths of a pregnant Texas teen and her boyfriend.

Christopher Preciado, 19, has been charged with capital murder for the shooting deaths of 18-year-old Savanah Soto and 22-year-old Matthew Guerra, WOAI reported. Preciado’s father, 53- year-old Ramon Preciado, was charged with abuse of a corpse for helping move the bodies after the murders.

Police said the murders took place just before midnight on December 21. Soto’s family reported her missing the next day, a day before she was scheduled to have labor induced at a hospital. Guerra was also reported missing.

Soto and Guerra were found shot to the death inside his gray Kia Optima on December 26. The car was parked at an apartment building on the northwest side of San Antonio. Days later, police released surveillance video showing the Optima pull up alongside a pick up truck. The drivers of the two vehicles got out and did something to the side of the Kia — police said they believed the pair wiped it down — then both vehicles went their separate ways.

San Antonio Police Sgt. Washington Moscoso said that information on Soto’s cell phone led to the truck, which in turn led to the location of the vehicle and then to the residence where the Preciados were arrested, KSAT reported. He said the murders appear to be linked to a botched narcotics deal and that that there was no connection between the suspects, victims, and the place where the bodies were found.

“These two individuals are the only suspects that we were looking for,” he said.

Moscoso said that Ramon Preciado answered the door when officers arrived.

“He knew why the police were there,” Moscoso said.

He also said that further charges against the pair “are pending” and police are working with the district attorney’s office to determine what those might be.
