FBI Involved in Ongoing Search for Savannah Guthrie’s Missing Mom – Crime Online

The FBI announced on Tuesday that it is investigating the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie’s mother, who was reported missing from her Arizona home on Sunday.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported missing from her Tucson home on Sunday morning after she failed to show up to church. Jon Edwards, Assistant Special Agent for the FBI’s Tucson office, confirmed the agency’s involvement in the case, stating that they are helping to analyze cell phone and cell tower data, in addition to conducting interviews.

According to Nanos, Guthrie’s last known sighting was on Saturday night.

“We don’t know if multiple people were involved,” he said.

Nanos described the Tucson home as a “crime scene” during Monday’s press conference. On Tuesday, he said that they are no longer at the residence and have released it to Guthrie’s family.

Sources told The Post about evidence — specifically blood and signs of forced entry– which suggested foul play is involved in Guthrie’s ongoing disappearance.

The missing 84-year-old’s daughter is “Today” show co-host Savannah Guthrie, 54. On Tuesday, the anchor issued a statement thanking the public for “lifting your prayers with ours.”
