Florida police are searching for a missing mother of four, reportedly last seen with her estranged husband, who’s reportedly an attempted murder suspect.
According to WFTV 9, 37-year-old Shakeira Rucker’s children told police they last saw her at around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday while leaving her Winter Springs home off Golf Terrace Drive. Loved ones said she may have left with her estranged husband, Cory Hill, but she didn’t say where she was going and has not contacted them.
The following morning at 10:20 a.m., police arrived at a scene in Orange County, off Holly Creek Road, after Hill allegedly pulled a firearm on a woman. Police said the woman was not Rucker. Hill reportedly fired shots at the woman and her family before leaving the scene.
Police subsequently caught up with him and booked him in jail Monday on four counts of attempted murder charges. Meanwhile, Ruckus remains missing.
“He was a person that didn’t put people in his business and he was distant from family. He stayed far off he didn’t let nobody in his business,” Rucker’s mother, Elaine, told Click Orlando, about Hill.
Elaine added that the family has been posting flyers and hoping someone will come forward with information on Rucker.
“How would any mother feel not being able to see their child it’s heartbreaking not knowing where she’s at?”
Family members said it’s highly unusual for Rucker to not be in contact with them. The family minister, Pastor Gary Chatman, told WESH 2 that Rucker’s family is extremely concerned for her well-being.
“We’re praying and we’re believing, we’re just asking everyone who gets this information to pray with us and if you know anything, if you see anything if you hear anything, please let us know,” Chatman said. “She’s missing and we don’t know where she’s at. No one has given us any answers, and our concern is getting her back, safe,”
Rucker is described as a Black female with hair braids, last seen wearing a blue Nike outfit.
Anyone with any information on her whereabouts is urged to contact investigator Tracy Fugate at 407-327-6561 or [email protected].
