Although it was relatively brief, Gael Cameron’s time aboard the Bravado was undeniably life-changing. The longtime yachtie looked back on the experience in a January 27 Instagram post, which provided a behind-the-scenes look at Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10.
“That’s a wrap,” she wrote on the season finale night. “What a fun moment in time! My time may have been short, but the events changed my whole world.”
The carousel showed Gael hanging out and working alongside her fellow crew members chef Josh Bingham, Aesha Scott, Max Salvador, and, of course, Nathan Gallagher.
Gael Cameron & Nathan Gallagher reunite on Below Deck Med
As many fans know, Gael and Nathan met while working as deckhands on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9 and quickly developed a romance. Once the Season 9 cameras went down, the two embarked on a six-week travel adventure; however, they ultimately called it quits once they returned to their respective home countries. Gael shed more light on the split in Below Deck Med Season 10, Episode 13, after she agreed to join the Bravado crew to fill in for sick deckhand Victoria SanJuan.
“After last charter season, Nathan and I traveled for six weeks,” Gael told a producer. “And I went back to Australia; he stayed in Ireland.”

Gael reiterated that she and Nathan tried “to stay together,” but the long distance put a strain on their budding romance.
“He ghosted me for, like, five days,” Gael said. “And then eventually, I was like, ‘Dude, like, just let me know you’re OK. Like, I’m here. If you don’t want to do this, it’s fine. … I’m here thinking something’s happened to you.’ And that’s where he was like, ‘I don’t know if I can do this right now.’ He was someone I loved. And, yeah, you know, it hurt. Like… It hurt.”
Before Gael joined the Season 10 crew, Nathan confessed he missed Gael and regretted how their relationship ended.
“There is, like, a slight hole in my heart,” he said while addressing the split. “Yeah, but I’m trying not to show it.”
Gael Cameran & Nathan Gallagher give their relationship another chance
As expected, Gael and Nathan’s Season 10 reunion led to some pretty tense moments stemming from their initial split. But as the charter season came to a close, Nathan made it his mission to get Gael back.
“If Gael slips through my fingers, I’d be devastated,” he said on the cast’s final night out in Barcelona. “I’m gonna prove to her that I wanna be with her forever. It all comes down to tonight.”

Needless to say, his efforts were successful. Gael told a producer she had seen a change in Nathan during her time on the Bravado, which is why she ultimately agreed to give their relationship another chance.
“We spent time apart, so we’ve grown as people; we’ve changed,” Nathan said in a joint confessional with Gael. “So, we need to spend time with each other and see if we actually enjoy each other’s company again.”
Gael Cameron & Nathan Gallagher welcome their son, Kayden
Months after Season 10 wrapped, Nathan and Gael announced they were expecting baby No. 1. The couple welcomed their son, Kayden Cameron Gallagher, in June 2025, less than a year after rekindling their romance. Since then, Gael and Nathan have shared many peeks at their family life, including their beach days and international vacations. The former shed more light on her chapter in a September 25 Instagram post celebrating her and Nathan’s anniversary.
“Through every high and low, we’ve stood side by side, and I wouldn’t want to walk this path with anyone else,” she wrote in part. “Life isn’t always easy, but together we turn it into the most wild, fun, and beautiful adventure. Now, with the best part of both of us in our arms, the journey feels even more magical.”
