First-time parents Gael Cameron and Nathan Gallagher can’t get enough of their newborn son. The Below Deck Mediterranean yachties took to their respective Instagram Stories recently, giving a glimpse into the cuteness that is 2-month-old Kayden Cameron-Gallagher.
In one post, the Irish yachtie shared a “throwback,” with father and baby son wearing matching green and gold Gaelic football jerseys representing Donegal G.A.A. (Gaelic Athletic Association). Nathan captioned, “You’ve grown so much so fast. My little best friend.”
Another post had Kayden hanging out in a sling wrapped around his mother’s chest, a striking sunset in the background. The Aussie deckhand wrote, “Days, turn to nights, turn to weeks, and I just want to stay in this moment with you.” In one more snap, Kayden was “all smiles” when held up in the air.
The precious moments are just the latest since Kayden marked his very first overseas flight.
Inside Nathan Gallagher and Gael Cameron’s baby journey
The lead-up to Kayden’s birth will be featured in Season 10 of Below Deck Med (premiering Sept. 29). In fact, his first on-screen appearance (in utero) is featured in the BDM Season 10 trailer (which you can see at the top of the post). As Nathan stated in the trailer, “This past charter season has been one of the toughest times in my entire life.”

He continued to producers, “But in the end, it just turned into the best because of this,” as the camera panned over to a baby bump belonging to a woman whose face was not in frame. Although the Irishman expected to be promoted on the Bravado as a first-time bosun, he left as a first-time father.
The show’s official announcement teases “a messy start” for him and Gael, but promises “something more than they imagined.”
Nathan Gallagher and Gael Cameron’s relationship timeline
Fans will recall in BDM Season 9, the lovebirds met aboard the Mustique. But once back on land, the romance was tested. Gael, at the time, said in the Below Deck Mediterranean After Show that deckhand Nathan had “a lot of emotional maturing to do.” Added Gael, she “started to see a different side to him” once attempting to travel together as a couple.

Part of what she didn’t like? “A little bit of anger and a little bit of, like, stubbornness, [and] immaturity” from her ex. Living on separate continents also proved to be challenging.
Flash forward to Sept. 25, 2024, when they announced the rekindling of their coupledom on social media. By the end of March, they were “beyond excited” to confirm Gael’s pregnancy in an exclusive interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish. They welcomed Kayden into the world on June 24.
It’s been non-stop love and joy ever since, despite of the hilarious ways they’ve navigated the world of parenthood together.
