All crew, all crew! Gael Cameron has officially returned to Below Deck Mediterranean for a temporary assignment aboard Bravado.
When Captain Sandy Yawn recognized that sick deckhand Victoria SanJuan needed some time off during Season 10, Episode 12, she tapped Gael to stand in for her on the upcoming charter.
“For a short fill-in position like this, Gael’s a perfect fit,” Captain Sandy explained of her decision to re-hire the Below Deck Med Season 9 alum in a confessional. “She’s familiar with how the boat runs, familiar with the team, and I’m really happy she was available. In fact, she’s been working on vessels, so she’s gained more experience. It’s meant to be.”
As she officially regains her sea legs on Below Deck Med Season 10, get reacquainted with Gael.
Gael Cameron’s official bio for Below Deck Med Season 10
Hometown: Sydney, AustraliaÂ
Birth date: May 14Â
Zodiac sign: TaurusÂ
Years of experience in the yachting industry: 4
Favorite off-boat activities:Â “Free diving, scuba diving, and eating.”
What Bravo shows do you watch? “The Real Housewives and Below Deck, of course!”
What is your wildest charter guest story from your career? “I have had an entire group get dropped off a day charter only to find they left someone behind with their head in the toilet.”
Favorite place you’ve been on charter/place you traveled? “Thailand. The water is beautiful, the food kills, and it’s just all around a great vibe.”
What’s one thing about working and living on a boat that would surprise people? “The lifestyle itself. You see places most people only dream of and that becomes your normal. Going back home feels smaller, and settling down suddenly feels a lot harder after you’ve lived that way for so long.”
How Nathan Gallagher reacted to Gael Cameron’s return
Prior to Gael officially arriving dockside at the end of Below Deck Med‘s Dec. 15 episode, bosun Nathan Gallagher had already been pining for her, especially after he and the Bravado crew ended up at a flamenco dinner show in Barcelona that they’d previously attended together.
As a quick refresher, Gael and Nathan met and started dating during Season 9, but they broke up shortly after filming wrapped.
“I can’t believe that I’m sat here in this flamenco place, one year later, reminiscing about when me and Gael [were] there,” he remarked to a producer. “I fell in love with her last charter season. I’m overwhelmed with emotion.”
Afterward, he even told some of the guys that he planned to visit Gael as soon as the charter season wrapped, citing how seeing chief stew Aesha Scott “so happy” when her fiancé, Scott Dobson, surprised her in Barcelona “sparked something” in him.

“It makes me, like, rethink what’s important in life,” Nathan said. “And obviously going to the flamenco thing, all the memories just came flooding back.”
As he added in a confessional, “Me and Gael have always had a good connection, but I was always making excuses as to why it wouldn’t work because I’m a f–kin’ idiot. But after this season, I’m gonna go see her and I’m not gonna hold back how I feel. I’m hoping for the best.”Â
So, imagine Nathan’s surprised when Captain Sandy filled him in that Gael would be joining his deck team. Though he appeared almost too stunned to speak, the news put a wide grin on his face, nonetheless. He admitted to a producer that he was experiencing some major nervous energy, however.
“I haven’t seen Gael in 10 months, so I don’t know how we’re gonna react to each other,” Nathan elaborated. “I’m flustered to the nines. I’ve never been this way in my life. I’m biting my nails that I don’t have. … I’m a hot mess.”
Inside Gael Cameron and Nathan Gallagher’s life today
Though the Below Deck Med Season 10 trailers have teased some tough conversations ahead for them, it’s no secret that Gael and Nathan rekindled their old flame. You’ll have to stay tuned to see exactly how they got back together, though.
“You’re just gonna have to watch the rest of the season to find out,” Nathan teased on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in October. “There was a lot of unresolved feelings, I would say, between me and Gael… Luck of the Irish; I got her in the end.”
What’s more, Nathan and Gael, who now live together in Australia, welcomed a son, Kayden, in June 2025, and the supertease already previewed that viewers can expect to at least see Gael’s pregnant belly before the season ends.
