Next Gen NYC‘s Gia Giudice and her boyfriend of six years are living proof of happily ever after. It doesn’t take much to see when the pair are out and about, putting their love for one another on full display. And Gia’s recent confessions about her longtime boyfriend, Christian Carmichael, are proof of that.
Recently, Gia posted a PDA-filled snap of them out and about, stating “love you the most!” on her Instagram Stories. The photo had Gia in a long, sky-blue dress with pinstripes, smiling next to her man, who wore a black shirt unbuttoned on top and white trousers. The image of them standing on the sidewalk during their nighttime outing was later shared by Christian, who added his own heart emojis over the post.
At the bottom, the caption, “My person forever.”
She shared a similar sentiment on an episode of her Casual Chaos podcast, telling guest Lala Kent that she “think[s] he’s the one” for her.
Gia Giudice and Christian Carmichael’s relationship timeline
Since meeting in 2019, Gia and Christian Carmichael have traveled the world and savored every sweet moment between them, from intimate dates to big celebratory blowouts. They’ve become known for their couples’ costumes every Halloween, including Bonnie and Clyde, Grease-themed, and as Harley Quinn and Joker, and they waste no opportunity to share their love on social media.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey daughter has eyes on the future with the man she calls her “best friend and forever person.” In December, she shared casual photos of the two with a waterfall in the background, stating, “These are the photos I’m gonna show my kids one day.”

How did Gia Giudice and Christian Carmichael meet?
As Gia explained, ”And all of a sudden, I see the door open up. There’s girls in the room … He has, like, marks all over his face. I think our friend, Frankie, drew on his face. And I just see him spring out of bed, chase Frankie out of the house, up to the beach. And I’m sitting there, like, ‘Holy crap. These kids are actually out of their mind.’ Like, ‘What am I getting myself into?'”
Gia said, “That was it,” after sharing their first kiss at a country music concert later on. They “hung out the rest of the summer” and kept things casual for a while. They went Instagram official in July 2020.
In the March 30 episode of her podcast, Gia revealed she and Christian secretly broke up during her junior year in college. Both agreed things were heading “downhill” about one month earlier.
As Christian put it, “The reason we broke up was because I was immature. Basically, [my] communication was horrible. I was always with my friends, and I had no drive, you always said. I didn’t have my first job until I was 21 … You hated that.”
Christian did everything he could to prove to Gia that he could change, and after shifting things into a different gear, he showed growth and got not one but two new jobs. “We got back together after like six [or] seven months,” Gia said. “And we’ve been together ever since now… I bet none of you even knew we broke up during that time, honestly.”
Were Gia Giudice and Christian Carmichael engaged?
In the Season 1 finale of Next Gen NYC, the pair discussed a possible engagement in their future. However, although Gia hopes Christian will pop the question “soon,” he estimated being about four years away.

Gia told Bravo’s The Daily Dish in July, “Christian and I are really happy in our relationship. We know we’re in it for the long haul, but we’re not putting pressure on ourselves with timelines. It will happen when it’s meant to, and we’re enjoying every moment and having fun together in the meantime.”
Where are Gia Giudice and Christian Carmichael now?
On her mom’s Turning the Tables by Teresa Giudice podcast in September 2024, Gia said she hoped to move out of her family home within a year or two. “Just to see how we live together, but I do really want to move in with him, eventually.”
Teresa — who Gia claimed was “obsessed” with her boyfriend — hoped that her oldest of four daughters would try living on her own first.

It seems Gia took that advice, because now she’s flying the coop and doing it all by herself. Said Gia, “I’m doing it on my own, too, so even though I am in a relationship, he’s super supportive, too.”
Gia recently had to clarify that Teresa wasn’t kicking her out.
