Gia Giudice couldn’t contain her tears. The Next Gen NYC cast member took to Instagram this week to share the epic — and very sweet — surprise she received from her boyfriend, Christian Carmichael. And what was the occasion? Well, Gia had just hit 1 million followers on Instagram, putting her in an elite group of influencers with significant career opportunities.
As seen on social media, The Real Housewives of New Jersey daughter returned to her newly acquired Jersey City apartment, which was decorated with nearly two dozen gold and white balloons, two of which were giant mylar balloons that represented Gia’s Instagram milestone.

“Oh my god,” Gia said in a December 5 video documenting the surprise. “I’m crying. Aww. That’s so cute. This is so beautiful.”
“Surprise! Congratulations,” Christian said as he began hugging his longtime girlfriend.

In addition to the balloons, Christian and Gia’s cousin had also presented her with a cute spread of sweet treats, including espresso martinis, a tray of Italian butter cookies, and an adorable white cake adorned with black bows and “1 million” piped on the top.
“Beyond blessed and so incredibly grateful for all of you!” Gia wrote in a subsequent post. “Celebrating one million on Instagram feels like an absolute dream. I never imagined I’d be here in this moment.”
Gia went on to thank fans for all the support they’ve shown throughout the years and “being part of [her] journey.”
“It’s all thanks to every single one of you,” she added. “I can’t wait to keep sharing my life with you and to see where this next chapter takes us. I love you all so much! And a huge shoutout to my amazing boyfriend and cousin for setting all of this up for me! feeling so loved!”

There’s no question that 2025 has been a banner year for Gia. She was cast in the inaugural Next Gen NYC season, appeared in — and won — a reality TV competition series, launched her Casual Chaos podcast, moved into the aforementioned Jersey City digs, and signed to one of the country’s leading talent agencies, CAA. She spoke about her 2025 career moves in an August interview with The Daily Dish, saying she was especially pumped for her podcast venture.
“Right now, I’m thriving as an influencer,” she said. “I’ve been booking a lot of partnerships, modeling gigs, events, and more. I’ve also launched my podcast, Casual Chaos, and have had some amazing guests come on… I’m excited for people to see [the podcast] grow as more episodes come out. I also have some other secret projects in the works, but can’t share yet!”

As her career continues its upward trajectory, many fans are wondering when Gia will take her nearly six-year relationship to the next level.
Gia and Christian touched on a potential engagement during the Next Gen NYC Season 1 finale, when ex-couple Ariana Biermann and Hudson McLeroy questioned when Christian planned to propose. While Gia said she expected to be engaged “soon,” Christian said he would likely pop the question in “four years.”
“Four!?” Gia replied, suggesting that the time frame was longer than she anticipated.

Gia expanded on her future with Christian in a July interview with The Daily Dish, insisting she and her longtime beau weren’t rushing to the altar.
“Christian and I are really happy in our relationship,” she said via email. “We know we’re in it for the long haul, but we’re not putting pressure on ourselves with timelines. It will happen when it’s meant to, and we’re enjoying every moment and having fun together in the meantime.”
