Gizelle Bryant admits she simply “tolerates” some of her former foes, but her reconciliation with Monique Samuels marked the renewal of a genuine friendship.
The Real Housewives of Potomac moms officially made amends in Season 10, Episode 10, when they agreed to meet up for lunch to hash out their long-standing issues. Gizelle addressed the sit-down on The Real Housewives of Potomac After Show, insisting she and Monique had sincerely moved forward.
“I would let y’all know if I had any tension [with Monique],” she told Housewives newbie Tia Glover and friend Jassi Rideaux. “Monique and I have history, and I appreciate the history… The fact that Monique and I were able to get through that, I have newfound respect for her and respect for our relationship. So, I’m super happy with our relationship.”

Monique Samuels and Gizelle Bryant end their years-long feud
Gizelle and Monique experienced a massive fallout in RHOP Season 5, in which Monique brought up rumors involving Gizelle’s ex-husband, Jamal Bryant. Monique apologized for her actions during her and Gizelle’s aforementioned sitdown, saying she was especially sorry for hurting Gizelle’s children. Monique said the remorse really kicked in during the cast’s Pride celebration in Episode 8, when she came face-to-face with Gizelle’s eldest daughter, Grace Bryant.
“When I saw [Gizelle], when we embraced… it just kind of hit me,” Monique recalled on the RHOP After Show. “So, that’s what kind of made me be open in that moment… Looking at her daughter there, and I was like, ‘Damn. I was talking about your daddy.’ Ugh. I just felt so awful… It just kind of hit me, like, OK, now that I’m in this space with people who I haven’t seen in so long, I think I kind of see things a little different. And I’ve done so much growing, so I see myself differently.”
Gizelle said she appreciated Monique’s apology, which immediately put her at ease.
“We were able to really have a big-girl conversation,” she said on the RHOP After Show.

Gizelle also acknowledged it wasn’t easy for her and Monique to take accountability for their “messy moments,” but felt it was the right time to bury the hatchet.
“It’s hard to do. But there has been enough time,” she said about the feud. “Five years have passed. So, it’s like, OK, I think it’s now time… We went from beginning to end. Like, ‘This is what you did,’ and she explained why she did it.”
Monique Samuels says there was more to her & Gizelle Bryant’s sit-down
Monique addressed her lunch with Gizelle during the December 7 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, saying there was more to their conversation that viewers didn’t get to see.
“Y’all missed everything. She was accountable, we apologized to each other, we got into it,” she told host Andy Cohen. “We really went there, and we laughed, and it was just very unexpected, but it was refreshing. It was good… I wish they would’ve showed everything that she said, because she said a lot, as well.
“It was a lot of misunderstanding between her and,” she continued. “It was a nice grown-up moment for us.”
