We have another update on Golnesa Gharachedaghi’s single-mom journey. The Valley: Persian Style cast member took to Instagram last week to share a peek at her life with 5-year-old son Elijah Javad Gharachedaghi. She posted a picture of her youngster standing on an armchair alongside the family’s beloved dogs, ZsaZsa and Bob.

Golnesa Gharachedaghi addresses her family’s living situation
The Instagram post has since received more than 100 comments, one of which questioned why Golnesa’s Rottweilers have yet to be featured on The Valley: Persian Style. The West Coast native explained that her fur babies — including her two cats — wouldn’t appear in Season 1; however, she was hopeful that they would get some screen time in the future.
“I’m a renter and the landlord wouldn’t allow me to film at home,” she explained. “So I didn’t get [to] show y’all my pups. But [I’m] in my new place now.”
Golnesa Gharachedaghi celebrates son Elijah’s big milestones
In the months leading up to The Valley: Persian Style premiere, Golnesa hopped on Instagram to share exciting updates on Elijah. Back in April, Golnesa posted a heartwarming Reel in celebration of her son’s birthday — a milestone that left her in disbelief.
“Happy Birthday to my son, Elijah!” she wrote in the tribute. “I can’t believe you’re 5 years old! The way you are should be written in books and studied, because I’ve never seen so much love and compassion come from anyone. Thank you for being the coolest kid and for calling me mommy. Keep smiling. Keep loving. Keep being you. Love you, E!”

Several months later, Golnesa revealed that Elijah had officially finished pre-school.
“Eli graduated today!!” she captioned a June 13, 2025, post. “So proud of this kid.”
Golnesa Gharachedaghi says her son has asked about his biological dad
Golnesa conceived Elijah via in vitro fertilization (IVF) and an anonymous sperm donor, which she addressed in a recent interview on Scheana Shay’s Scheananigans podcast. The Vanderpump Rules alum applauded Golnesa for raising a child solo, but wondered if Elijah ever questioned his biological father’s whereabouts.
“He asked when he was 2 years old,” Golnesa revealed. “I was actually on a FaceTime call with [Mercedeh Javid] and her son, Shams.”
The Shahs of Sunset alum said at one point during the call, Mercedeh’s husband, Tommy Feight, made an appearance in the background, prompting Shams to shout, “Daddy! Daddy!” At that moment, Elijah turned to Golnesa and asked, “Why don’t I have a daddy?”
Golnesa said she didn’t explain the donor situation because Elijah was too young at the time. Instead, she reminded Elijah that he had a mom, grandpa, grandma, and aunt who loved him. But that wasn’t the last time Elijah brought up the dad topic.

“It happened again a month ago,” Golnesa continued. “He says, ‘I really wish I had a daddy.’ In that moment, I wanted to run, but I stopped, and I said, ‘If you did have a daddy, what would you do together?’ And he’s, like, ‘I don’t know.’ I said, ‘Is there anything that I can do with you that you would if you had a daddy?’”
Golnesa said she could tell that Elijah was thinking about his answer before he ultimately “changed the subject.”
“I didn’t want to shy away from that conversation,” she explained. “I wanted to continue that thought with him, that feeling… At some point, when I think that he’s mature and old enough, I’m gonna hand him the file from the donor and say, ‘This is all I know.’”

Golnesa told Scheana that her sperm donor was “completely anonymous,” but he included photos and a “beautiful letter” in his file.
“One day, when [Elijah is] ready for it, I’ll hand it over to him,” Golnesa said. “We talk. I tell him, ‘Some people have two dads. Some people have two moms’… I don’t want to diminish his feelings of wanting a dad. It’s hard.”
