Guerdy Abraira and husband Russell Abraira’s two sons, Miles, 18, and Liam Abraira, 12, are their “number one priority.”

The Real Housewives of Miami cast member celebrated Miles’ graduation from high school in June, and according to Guerdy, he has some big plans for his future. The high school sweethearts recently spoke with The Daily Dish, where they opened up about how they celebrated his big accomplishment.
Russell admitted that Miles is “still in the process” of picking out the perfect college for him. “We thought we had it narrowed down, but we’re still in the process of applying to a couple other places,” the firefighter explained. “He’s gonna go somewhere. He has an ultimate goal with the degree he wants to do.”
“It’s very specific,” Guerdy chimed in. “We’re going to get him there and it’s a process.”
The family of four celebrated this milestone occasion during a “huge trip” as a family of four to Japan. “We bonded in so many different ways being with each other, like, all day, all night,” she explained. “It was really amaze. We really bonded and had fun. And I learned a lot about them just through traveling that I didn’t know before. So it was really nice.”
“We focused on the Abrairas, that’s our number one priority,” she added.

Guerdy and Russell also plan to eventually make some changes to their house, where they reside with their two kids, but they’re also open to moving out, too. “We’ll see,” Guerdy told The Daily Dish.
“We love our home,” Russell added. “If we stay, we’re going to have to make some changes. Make a couple changes.”

One of these changes? Adding a place for Russell’s smoker, so he can easily cook and barbecue some of his favorite foods. This includes “ribs, pulled pork, and brisket,” according to Russell.

There is so much love between Guerdy and Russell, who have been together since they were in high school. Since then, their appreciation for each other has only grown.
Guerdy told The Daily Dish that Russell’s “loyalty, maybe” might be her favorite thing about him. “But Russell is the person that everybody wants to be around, and no one knows why,” she continued. “He doesn’t try to sway you in any way. He’s just in the room, says nothing, and people are trying to be around him. He has a soul that is not natural. His soul is so pure, and there’s such goodness that people see it.”

Guerdy also shared what she thinks Russell admires the most about her. “I think he admires my tenacity,” she added. “He’s amazed by me, I think is the word. He’s amazed by how fearless I am.”
