Jasmine Goode clashed with Janet Caperna and Jason Caperna during a beach outing on Season 2, Episode 8 of The Valley, and now, all three cast members are shedding new light on the drama.
In the above clip from the subsequent episode of The Valley After Show, Janet even revealed an unseen detail that followed the confrontation: “For her to just all the sudden turn on me and be like, ‘You’re a vibe killer. You’re a Karen. You’re all this.’ Since when? I’m like, ‘Whoa.’ It was hurtful. I got in the car and cried.”
Jason also elaborated on how he was feeling as the drama was unfolding. “When that all came out, Jasmine was looking at [Janet] with just such like contempt, [and] that’s when I flipped,” he said. “Because I’m like, ‘This is such a 180 from the Jasmine I know.’ And Janet and I have zero idea what Janet ever did to Jasmine to piss her off so much.”
Although Jason might still be in the dark, Jasmine explained exactly why she was so upset — and it wasn’t because she was being named as the source of the rumors about Jason taking his wedding ring off whenever he goes out.
Why was Jasmine Goode upset with Janet Caperna before their beach fight?
As Jasmine explained on The Valley After Show, “After we left Brittany [Cartwright]’s shark party, I’m thinking everything’s fine, then all the sudden I get a text later that night. [Janet’s] just rage texting me, ‘You know, this is unacceptable.’ … just going off. And I’m like, ‘You can pick up the phone and call me.’ But she didn’t, and that pissed me off because it was like, ‘Where is this coming from?'”
“So, at the beach, I said ‘f–k it,'” Jasmine continued. “[If] she wants to have that energy, let’s go, because I’m not gonna hold back anymore.”
What happened between Jasmine Goode and Janet Caperna in the past?
In addition to noting that there’s “still some stuff going on lingering from the last season” of The Valley, Jasmine said that some of her and Janet’s problems pre-date the show entirely. For example, Janet would apparently host game nights and not invite Jasmine. “She picks and chooses, like, who’s important, I think, at the time. Like, who’s better,” Jasmine explained on the After Show. “That’s why when I say, ‘You’ve been a bad friend,’ yeah, she has been a bad friend to me.”
Are Janet and Jason Caperna friends with Jasmine Goode today?
On The Valley After Show, Janet said that Jasmine has been one of her “greatest friends” for “a very long time,” but didn’t exactly reveal where they stand today. Jason, meanwhile, said, “She was one of the few people we hung out with during the pandemic often, you know. It’s like, she was a friend — is still a friend. It’s not like I consider her an enemy or not a friend still. It’s just like our relationship is definitely not the same as it was.”
Jasmine, meanwhile, stated, “I do like Janet. I wish we could get back to where we used to be. I don’t know if we ever will because I think the Janet I see now is not the Janet that I knew before and I loved.”
