Heather Gay had nothing but gratitude for the Below Deck Down Under crew.
The mother of three showed love to the yachties in The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6, Episode 9, which marked the end of the RHOSLC x BDDU crossover. Heather admitted she and her fellow ‘Wives weren’t exactly the easiest charter guests, as they delivered a hefty dose of drama throughout their stay on the Katina superyacht; however, she was very pleased by how well the staff navigated the steady stream of chaos and tense moments.
Heather Gay gives the “phenomenal” BDDU crew their flowers
“I want to say to the whole crew, especially my dear friend Captain Jason [Chambers], that we have had a trip of a lifetime,” she said as she and her fellow ’Wives left the boat. “On behalf of my beautiful friends, I want to apologize for the fighting. I know that we put you through your paces, but you guys absolutely rose to the occasion. You were phenomenal.”
Heather then pulled out a white envelope containing the crew’s cash tip.
“And this is a small token of our appreciation,” she said, while handing over the stack. “We want you guys to go out on the town [and] think of us. Live it up.”

“I would like to think that meeting you individually was amazing. Together? My god…” he said. “It’s like a hurricane coming back through here. But a really good hurricane.”
Heather Gay reveals which of her castmates contributed to the BDDU tip
Heather shed more light on the charter tip during her November 11 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, when fellow guest Ricki Lake wondered how the gratuity worked.
“Did that come out of your pocket?” Ricki asked.
“Everybody contributed. And I filled in any gaps,” said Heather, who was the primary charter guest.

“You all contributed,” host Andy Cohen added. “It wasn’t production?”
“Oh, no! The tip is real, and we loved the service, we loved the experience,” Heather clarified. “It was cheap compared to what we put them through. And it was an honor to pay them the money.”
So, how much did the Salt Lake City ladies tip? Fans can expect to find out in the next BDDU season.
Heather Gay names her “favorite” BDDU yachtie: “We danced, we partied”
Andy then asked Heather which BDDU Season 4 crew member was her favorite, other than her close friend, Captain Jason, of course.
“Mike [Durant],” she immediately answered. “Mike and I, we danced, we partied.”
“Was there a member of the crew who was the most put upon by y’all?” Andy asked.
“Daisy [Kelliher],” Heather said, referring to the longtime chief stew. “I’m sorry, we put Daisy through her paces because Daisy was our go-to. As she would be.”
