Bad weather appears to be in the forecast for Heather Gay and Lisa Barlow on the upcoming sixth season of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
The official announcement for the new season teases that Heather’s “rift” with Lisa “continues to grow,” and the two can also be seen arguing in the trailer. Lisa, more specifically, is shown marching up to a sitting Heather and putting her finger in her face while yelling, “You’re the one that did it!”
Curious minds will have to wait for the Sept. 16 premiere of RHOSLC Season 6 to learn more about the drama between the former friends, but in the meantime, there’s plenty to be gleaned about Heather and Lisa’s individual journeys.

What to expect from Heather Gay on RHOSLC Season 6
Heather may be at odds with Lisa, but her friendship with Whitney Rose is “as strong as ever,” according to the Season 6 announcement.
When it comes to her personal life, she’s embracing “her next chapter as an empty nester” while her youngest daughter, Annabelle Gay, flies the coop. From there, Heather “prioritizes herself and re-evaluates what she wants for her future, starting with a home renovation to transform her bedroom into a love den,” the announcement concludes.
What to expect from Lisa Barlow on RHOSLC Season 6
On top of dealing with “cracks” in her marriage to John Barlow that force the two to “confront communication issues,” Lisa “finds herself in hot water when she lands in the middle of the group’s gossip,” the RHOSLC Season 6 announcement reads. “Her friendships are put to the test over swirling rumors, leaked information and … even hair products.”
A brief history of Heather Gay and Lisa Barlow’s drama
Historically, Heather and Lisa have had their differences. The RHOSLC Season 2 reunion was a particular low pow point, as they went back and forth over Lisa allegedly texting Heather that she hoped her father was doing well, despite already knowing Heather’s father had passed away — at least according to Heather. Lisa later clapped back with receipts, fueling the flames of the drama into the show’s third season.
Past quarrels aside, though, Heather and Lisa seemed to be on good terms when speaking to Access Hollywood at Bravo Fan Fest 2024 as RHOSLC Season 5 played out.
“I think that you have very different personalities; each one of us is so different, and we bring something special,” Lisa said. “I feel like it’s a true ensemble cast where our relationships switch so organically … You never know what’s going to happen, I never know what’s gonna happen.”

Added Heather, “Yeah, and we’re trauma-bonded. We’ve been through a lot together, and we’ve come up through this together, and it’s changed our lives in so many ways. We have history, and that creates drama and fun.”
Lisa said that even in the pair’s “worst times,” she always thought of Heather as a “strong” woman. Heather said having Lisa’s support made her feel “invincible.”
