Amanda Frances finally unveiled the major renovations she made to Kyle Richards’ former home on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills — and the before-and-after shots (which you can check out below) were remarkable.

As seen on Season 15, Episode 7, Amanda invited Kyle and Mauricio Umansky to tour the many updates she made to the family home that she purchased from them in January 2022. At that point, she and fiancé Eddie Tsivislavsky had completed all the work, except for in their home theater.

“Kyle and Mau are coming over today, and I get to show them their old house,” Amanda said in a confessional. “I kind of hope they like it. I mean, I think we did it justice. But also, I don’t care, because I know we did a good job.”

Kyle arrived first and, upon entering the 6,250- square-foot Bel Air abode, the most obvious change was the replacement of the foyer’s black-and-white checkerboard floors that longtime RHOBH viewers had grown accustomed to seeing over the years.

Once Mauricio arrived, they kicked off the home tour in the kitchen. He noted the “huge transformation,” while Amanda added that it was “a whole different room.”

Kyle, for her part, referred to Amanda’s kitchen remodel as “gorgeous,” before recalling specific memories she had with her youngest daughter Portia Umansky, who’s now 17 years old.

“[There] was a desk here that Portia used to sit here and, like, color,” Kyle said. “I have this vision of her, like, helping me make phone calls from this little desk over here.” (That’s when a throwback clip from 2012 rolled, showing her and Portia making birthday party invitation calls during Season 3.)

As they moved from room to room, the memories continued to come flooding back, and Kyle pointed out how they used to have “so many parties” there.

One clip from 2012 reminded viewers how Lisa Vanderpump had led a llama through Kyle’s house during Portia’s birthday party. Another flashback showed Kyle and Mauricio lounging in a pool floatie during one of their annual white parties in 2013.

Amanda described stepdaughter Shoshana’s bedroom as her “favorite” part of the house, and once again, Kyle was reminded of Portia’s childhood.

“Do you remember how Portia only wanted to play in here?” Kyle asked Mau. “She was obsessed with this little space.”

Kyle and Mauricio similarly were impressed by the upgrades Amanda and Eddie made to one of the home’s eight bathrooms.

“This looks so great, guys,” Kyle remarked. “You did a really great job.”

Why Amanda Frances’ home renovations made Kyle Richards emotional

In a confessional, Kyle explained that her emotional reaction to seeing the changes Amanda made to her former home had seemingly come out of left field.

“It just feels so strange walking through this home that used to be ours, and now it belongs to someone else with their family,” Kyle explained. “At first, I’m feeling just like, ‘Oh this is fun, this is so cool.’ And then it just hit me like a truck.”

A bit later, she continued, “When we first bought that house was when Mau really started to make a lot more money. We were looking for a bigger, better home. Bigger’s not always better.”

While Amanda and Eddie excused themselves to put their younger kids down for a nap, Kyle broke down into tears, saying she “wasn’t expecting” to feel the way she did, since they’d moved out of the home back in 2017. Her ongoing separation from Mauricio had a lot to do with it, however.

“When I look at my life now and where I’m at, it’s extremely different,” Kyle added. “I can’t help but think of how things used to be. And why would anyone let that slip away? How could anyone let that slip away?”

While speaking to Mauricio directly, Kyle admitted she was “so embarrassed” to be crying in front of Amanda and Eddie, before unpacking why it “was not easy” for her to see the house.

“It just made me feel sad,” she told her estranged husband. “It was a simpler time, you know, in our lives. And the girls were younger. …Sometimes I just think, what would have happened if we didn’t leave here?”
