It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Celie LeBlanc Ulm, a mother of two, beloved wife, and coach at Ascension Episcopal School. Celie had been battling a rare and aggressive type of cancer for years before her passing on Sunday, March 6th, 2023. The family has started a GoFundMe account in her memory to help with funeral costs. Let’s take a closer look at the life and legacy of this amazing woman.
Who Was Celie LeBlanc Ulm?
Celie was born in Delcambre, LA., where she lived most of her life. She attended Ascension Episcopal School, where she excelled in academics and sports. She was an avid volleyball player and went on to become the school’s volleyball coach after graduating. As a coach, she led the team to many victories and developed strong bonds with each one of her players. In addition to coaching, Celie worked as an administrative assistant at AECO Industries in Maurice, La., for 15 years before retiring in 2019.
Celie was also an incredible mother to her two children; Tyler Ulm (14) and Cadence (11). She was always there for them, providing support and guidance as they grew up. Even when she was too sick to get out of bed or attend events, she made sure her children knew how much she loved them by sending cards or making special phone calls just for them. This loving spirit will be remembered by everyone who knew her.

Celie LeBlanc Ulm, a beloved longtime resident of Delcambre, LA., sadly passed away on Sunday after a long battle with an aggressive and deadly type of cancer. She had been courageous in her fight and displayed incredible strength through taking to social media to share her experience with the world over the previous years. Celie died peacefully surrounded by her family members, who supported her strongly throughout the hard journey. How she will be missed by all that knew and loved her but we can take solace in knowing that she did not suffer at the end and is now resting in peace.
