The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Karen Huger is touching on how she and her husband of almost 30 years, Ray Huger, endured the challenges of her time in prison.
In the above preview for Karen’s unmissable homecoming on the RHOP Season 10 finale (airing Sunday, Feb. 1), the Grande Dame reunites with Ray; their adult daughter, Rayvin Huger; and Karen’s younger sister, Bridget.
As Karen thanks her loved ones for their enduring support, she looks to Ray and jokes, “I’ll save you for later,” a lighthearted tease breaking through the heaviness of Karen’s long-awaited return.
Ray then touches on his frequent visits and their meaningful conversations during Karen’s six months of incarceration, telling her, “It’s interesting how much talking we actually did.”
“It was fun dating you through the glass window,” Karen responds. “You were the only husband that came in and talked politics.”
Rayvin’s response? “That I believe!”
From there, Karen recounts more of her experience. When the entire finale episode airs on Feb. 1, she’ll also sit down with Andy Cohen to fully rehash everything that went down following her Sept. 2 prison release stemming from a 2024 DUI conviction.

What was Karen Huger’s prison sentence?
Karen was initially sentenced to two years in prison, with one year suspended, in February 2025. The judge’s decision came after the jury found Karen guilty at the end of a two-day trial in December 2024, for which the Housewife was convicted of five out of six counts related to a single-car collision in March 2024.
However, Karen was granted early release in September 2025 due to good behavior, according to NBC Washington, D.C. affiliate WRC-TV.

More than two months later, she made what Andy called a “triumphant return” when she presented the first award at BravoCon 2025’s The Bravos on Nov. 16, garnering a warm round of applause and a standing ovation from those in attendance.
She took to Instagram the following day to share an emotional message alongside behind-the-scenes photos from the Las Vegas convention.
“I’m uplifted beyond words reflecting on the overwhelming love from my family and all of the RHOP fans,” Karen stated in the Nov. 17 post. “Last night, Andy and the entire [Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen] team welcomed me with such warmth and respect. My deepest appreciation to the remarkable crew behind the scenes for their kindness, care, and support.”
Though absent from RHOP in the current season, Karen will get a coveted seat at the RHOP Season 10 reunion.
