When did Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen premiere?
As you may recall, WWHL launched on Bravo in 2009 and celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2024. “I was so excited. I felt super, super comfortable,” Andy revealed to BravoTV.com about the premiere episode in 2024. “I remember going into the bathroom to take one pee before I went on the air. I remember looking in the mirror and I remember thinking, ‘You’re not nervous.’ And I kind of felt like it was meant to be, to tell you the truth.”
Back in 2016, Andy shared his ongoing delight on how much he loves hosting the talk show with no plans to slow down. “I will keep doing Watch What Happens Live for as long as I can. I mean there are times when I’m tired or I’m over it, but mainly I’m very into it,” he told The Daily Dish at the time. “I absolutely love it. I think I have the greatest job in TV. I get to be myself. I get to have fun. I mean, it’s great.”

Andy Cohen opens up about filming WWHL in the Bravo Clubhouse studio
The Bravo Clubhouse, the studio where WWHL is filmed, is filled with all sorts of unexpected and personal items from Bravolebs, as well as items that hold sentimental value to Andy. “The reason the set looks the way it does is because I wanted it to feel like me,” he explained to the Los Angeles Times in 2012. “The show is so much a result of my mind and sensibility, that it just seemed like it would be more comfortable if it sort of looked like me too.”
