Next Gen NYC‘s Hudson McLeroy is thankful after a scary incident left his car utterly destroyed.
Hudson took to his Instagram Stories on Nov. 20, sharing a look at one of the beloved sports cars after it was involved in an incident that left it partially melted. The vehicle — what looks to be a luxury BMW M4 GTS like the one Hudson posted about several years ago — had been severely burned on Nov. 19, as seen in his recent social media post, the first of which had the hashtag “RIP.”
“For everyone asking, yes, I’m OK,” he wrote in a follow-up Story. “The car caught fire in the middle of the night after being hooked up to a battery tender.”
Hudson has been known to work on luxury cars. Per Hudson’s many highlighted Instagram Stories, the Bravoleb appears to have owned this particular vehicle as far back as March 2021, before he moved from Georgia to New York City. He had moved to NYC with his then-girlfriend, Ariana Biermann, and since their split, he’s shared updates about his post-breakup life.
Hudson McLeroy has a passion for luxury sports cars
The recent incident with Hudson’s car comes weeks after Ariana and he called it quits in their relationship. Since then, as Hudson has teased on Instagram, he has kept fairly busy with his love of sports cars, per his highlighted stories. He’s shown looks at high-performance cars like the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and the Lamborghini Urus in his collection.
On Oct. 23, he shared a look at a hot-orange sports car with scissor doors, writing in the Instagram post, “BTS of what I’ve been working on. More to come soon…”
In 2023, the son of Zaxby’s fast food chain founder Zach McLeroy shared his love of fancy cars when getting a Lamborghini of his own — a dream come true, as he described. “Never thought I’d be 21 and own a car like this,” he posted on Instagram. “I remember being that excited little 10-year-old telling my dad I’ll come home one day and surprise him in a Lamborghini, and that day is finally here.”
Hudson McLeroy and Ariana Biermann announce their breakup
Hudson has leaned on the hobby to keep him busy since his breakup from Ariana, first shared in an Oct. 14 statement. Hudson issued his own statement about the breakup, which he shared on Instagram the following day.
“I feel like everyone deserves to hear both sides of our story,” he stated. “I still and always will love Ariana. She’s been there for me at times when I couldn’t be there for myself. I still have a lot of things I need to heal from and deal with on my own to become the person I truly want to be. I appreciate all of the love and support everyone is showing us through this difficult time.”
Audiences can expect to learn more when both of them return for Season 2 of Next Gen NYC.
