As Imrul Hassan proved throughout his inaugural Summer House season, some of the spiciest content happens off camera. With that in mind, the newbie took us backstage at the Season 9 reunion to reveal all the behind-the-scenes tea.
BravoTV.com spoke to Imrul as he got ready to slip into his “super clean” pastel reunion look and take the stage with host Andy Cohen, along with the rest of his new castmates. Given that it was his first-ever reunion, the motorcycle-riding real estate broker admitted he was feeling “a bit nervous, but mostly excited.” Â
As for how Imrul prepared for the Summer House cast sit-down, he copped to giving himself a bit of a crash course on what to expect.Â
“I watched the last two reunions to see what the vibe is,” Imrul explained. “I’m excited at the fast-paced nature of this, and … how quickly we’re gonna do this and the fact that I don’t have to think too much.”
He concluded, “I think that’s when I shine the best.”

There’s nothing like being able to go directly to the source either, so Imrul got “a little bit” of advice from vet Carl Radke. He also spoke to fellow Season 9 newcomer Lexi Wood “a few days” before the reunion filmed in New York City.
“She and I were kinda on the same page in like we don’t know how many more reunions we’re gonna have,” he said.
So, what reunion strategy did he and Lexi concoct? “Let’s go for the jugular,” Imrul teased. “Let’s just throw it all out there and see what happens.”
It turns out, he even indirectly took a page from Lindsay Hubbard‘s book, too, adding that filming with the then-pregnant Summer House OG taught him that even if life comes at you in the “most aggressive way,” you can “still have fun, and don’t change who you are.”

Once Imrul eventually joined the cast on stage about halfway through Part 1 of the reunion, Andy asked if it bothered him that he was “pigeonholed as the orgy beast” all summer.Â
“I mean, I definitely felt like I was pigeonholed a little bit,” he replied, before also blaming himself for leading with a story about attending a “sex party” upon meeting his new Hamptons housemates.Â
Imrul also regretted not clarifying that it wasn’t something he did often. What’s more, he doesn’t actually consider himself to be an “orgy beast,” joking that he’s more like an “orgy novice.” Either way, “the nickname stuck,” he said.
The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host also asked if Imrul was “at all concerned that hooking up with women” during his first weekend in the house would affect his “ability to get to know the other housemates,” to which he responded in the affirmative.
“In hindsight, yes. When it was happening, no,” Imrul elaborated. “It seems like I was bringing back girls every single night. You know, I’ve done it a few times, obviously, but I think, like, four times over the whole summer isn’t crazy.”
But he also took responsibility for not forming closer bonds with the cast last summer.
“I didn’t do a good job in connecting with people, especially someone who is there by themself, essentially,” Imrul added. “It was a little uncomfortable. It was a little nerve-wracking, and I just kinda leaned into what I knew, I suppose.”
