More than a week after tying the knot with John Janssen, The Real Housewives of Orange County alum offered a quick look at their new chapter and one of their many special “firsts.” Alexis shared the update on Sunday, October 12, as she and John kicked off another boat day.

“Hey, babe. It’s our first time as husband and wife on the water,” Alexis said in the Story. “First time! It’s not girlfriend. It’s not fiancée. It’s wifey! Look how hot my husband is. We’re gonna go have a fun day on the water! Happy Sunday!”

Tamra Judge recalls Alexis Bellino & John Janssen’s “untraditional” wedding

Alexis and John exchanged “I do’s” on Friday, October 3, at The Ranch resort in Laguna Beach, California. According to People magazine, the “intimate” event had a guestlist of about 140 people, including RHOC alum Jo De La Rosa, The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys’ Galyna Saltkovska, and Alexis’ foe-turned-friend RHOC‘s Tamra Judge. The latter shared a quick review of the ceremony and reception in the October 9 episode of Two Ts in Pod, her podcast series with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp.

“It was so beautiful. It was just, it was rustic,” she said. “It is like you’re in the woods underneath all these big, I think there were oak trees… It was very non-traditional.”

Tamra said the wedding included a special ceremony with Alexis and John’s respective kids from previous relationships. She also revealed there was no “cake-cutting ceremony,” and the couple declined to toss the garter and wedding bouquet.

But make no mistake, the celebration was far from boring. The wedding reception included a custom cowboy hat station, a Magic Castle magician, a “rock violinist,” and a special rap performance by Alexis and John’s good friend/private chef, Mac Noodlez.

Alexis Bellino reflects on her & John Janssen’s “long journey”

Alexis teased her “unconventional” wedding plans in a September 9 Instagram Reel that documented her and John’s “nearlywed” getaway to Las Vegas.

“I’ve always said I was doing this wedding unconventional, unique, outside of the box…perhaps a little ‘Un-Ordinary.’ And that’s exactly what we did,” she wrote. “John and I did find something out of the Ordinary… It’s been a rough, long journey getting here, and most couples wouldn’t make it through the vitriol we endured, but we finally feel the Angels on our side. And God was always the Waymaker.”

Alexis Bellino reveals why she was hesitant to start dating John Janssen

Alexis and John became official in late 2023, not too long after they were introduced at the iconic Quiet Woman restaurant in OC.

The former Housewife, who was married twice before, later revealed she and John hesitated to start a romance. Why? Well, they feared the public backlash stemming from John’s previous relationship with RHOC’s Shannon Storms Beador.

“We knew America would hate us. We knew what we were getting into,” she said in the September 29 episode of My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast. “We were like, ‘We’re not gonna do this. We’re gonna stay back. We’re gonna pause. We’re gonna just be friends’… But the chemistry was there.”

Find out why RHOC’s Heather Dubrow decided to skip Alexis and John’s wedding.
