Christine “Bugsy” Drake has been keeping herself very busy since her time on Below Deck Mediterranean. Bugsy appeared on Below Deck Med Season 2 and Season 5 as a stewardess and chief stew, where she wowed guests and Captain Sandy Yawn with her work ethic and stunning tablescapes.
Today, Bugsy is still putting her tablescape skills to use (more on that down below) and traveling the world, while establishing her roots by renovating a house in South Africa. The “event planner and lifestyle curator,” according to her Instagram bio, took to Instagram on Thursday, Dec. 18, where she posted a photo of herself hanging out in France and not working on a yacht.
In the photo, Bugsy can be seen standing on the sidewalks of Paris, while wearing a long red dress and staring down at her feet. “Here’s some Cafe Couture!” she wrote in the caption of the post. “Not always in building site overalls.”

Does Bugsy Drake still work in yachting?
Yes, she does. In addition to being an events planner and lifestyle curator, Bugsy’s Instagram bio notes that she still lives the “yacht life.” Currently, Bugsy works on the Motor Yacht Nita K II, which sails on the Atlantic Ocean.
Bugsy took to Instagram on Aug. 8, where she revealed that she has been working on Nita K II for four years, where she sets tables and entertains guests on board. “4 years today aboard M/Y Nita K II,” she wrote in the caption of the post.
“What an adventure it’s been!” she noted. “Chat GPT told me that 4 years in yachting is like 10-12 years in ‘human years.’ LOL it’s been epic!”

Bugsy is often posting so many photos of her tablescapes today. Bugsy most recently took to Instagram on Dec. 10, where she posted a series of photos of a stunning yet “chaotic” pink and gold table scene that she designed. In the photo, a blue tablecloth can be seen sitting on top of the table, with a light pink runner going through the middle of it. She decorated this with several gold and pink fruits and vegetables, as well as some bright pink flowers.
“Hosting, but make it chaotic!” she wrote in the caption of the post.
She later showed off her intricate process in designing the scape in a video posted to Instagram on Dec. 19. “Send me your FAVE theme and I will recreate it!” she wrote in the caption of the post. “I’m always the happiest when hosting!!!”
Where does Bugsy Drake live today?
When she isn’t sailing around on a motor yacht or making stops along the way around the world, Bugsy is just as busy on land, renovating her “dream home” which she purchased in South Africa earlier this year.

Bugsy took to Instagram on Nov. 27, where she posted a video of her walking through the completely gutted house. “So I am at the little beach cottage that I am currently renovating,” she explained. “Still work on the yachts, this is my part-time job.”
“I’ve been so quiet on here because I’ve been so busy becoming ‘Bugsy the Builder,'” she wrote in the caption of the post. “I can’t wait to share absolutely everything with you!!! Currently on my way back to the yacht to smash out an awesome Caribbean charter season! But will share EVERYTHING I’ve been up to in the past 2.5 months! It’s been WILD!”

Bugsy has also been busy landscaping and setting up the house’s garden. She took to her Instagram account on Dec. 7, where she posted a video showing off all of the gorgeous plants and flowers that she planted throughout the hillside.
“This has truly been an absolute Labor of love!” she wrote in the caption of the post. “I can’t wait to set a gorgeous lunch in the garden soon!”

She took to her Instagram account on Feb. 27, 2021, where she expressed her excitement for writing her own book. “I’m ecstatic!” she wrote in the caption of the post. “I am beyond grateful to everyone who has been involved in helping me bring my vision to life. You have all been a massive part of this journey, whether I know you or not! I love you all!”

Although Bugsy no longer works for Sandy, they remain in a good place to this day. Bugsy took to Instagram on March 20, where she posted a photo of herself alongside Sandy as they stood on a dock and flashed the camera a thumbs up. “Reunited,” she wrote in the caption of the post.
