Katie Maloney is clearly enjoying the touring life.
The Vanderpump Rules alum returned to the road this month to reunite with Nick Martin, her musician boyfriend who is currently on tour with his rock band, Sleeping with Sirens. The North American trek began back in May and made a recent stop in Colorado, where Nick and Katie managed to squeeze in a romantic (and unforgettable) date night.
“The wildest date night,” Katie captioned a post.
The June 19 photo showed the exterior of Casa Bonita, an iconic Mexican restaurant known for its labyrinthine layout, live music, arcade games, puppet shows, and cliff-diving performances. Katie posted a video of the latter, capturing a man jumping from the restaurant’s grotto into the indoor pool.
Shortly after the outing, Katie and Nick headed to Red Rocks Amphitheater for Sleeping with Sirens’ performance. Katie shared several snaps of the outdoor venue, which she described as…. well, “not ugly.”

Katie spoke about the touring life in the June 3 episode of The Viall Files podcast, saying the experience with Nick “was fun.”
“If you enjoy hanging out and just hanging, it’ll suit you,” she said. “But I just like being with him… Whatever we’re doing, I just want to be with him… I’m super happy.”
Some of Katie’s comments appeared in an Instagram episode teaser, which drew countless congratulatory comments about Katie’s new love. But, as expected with social media, not all the responses were positive. One user went so far as to accuse Nick of cheating on his ex-girlfriend “to be with Katie,” a claim that the former SUR-ver immediately shot down.
“Literally did not happen lol,” she replied in the comments.

Two years after finalizing her divorce from Tom Schwartz, Katie confirmed she was in a committed relationship. The sandwich shop owner shared the boyfriend news in the October 16, 2024, episode of her Disrespectfully podcast, saying she was fully “in love.”
“He just makes me feel really special, and he’s really special,” she said. “I’m just really, really happy… He’s the most wonderful person I’ve ever met.”
The couple went Instagram official nearly two months later and have continued to share their romance on social media. Katie shed more light on their history in the April 14 episode of Humble Brag with Crystal and Cynthia, revealing how she and Nick went from friends to lovers.
“It’ll be six months tomorrow,” Katie said when asked how long she and the guitarist had been dating.

Katie told the hosts, The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Cynthia Bailey and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Crystal Kung Minkoff, that she and Nick met through a “mutual” friend when she attended one of his concerts in Las Vegas. Katie confessed she had gone to the show to meet another person, but was immediately drawn to Nick.
“It was a good time,” she said about her and Nick’s initial encounter. “Everyone that’s in his band lives in a different state. But he’s like, ‘I live in LA.’ I’m like, ‘Oh sh-t. I live in LA.’”
Unbeknownst to Katie, Nick had lived around the Valley Village area, not too far from her home in North Hollywood. Katie said there was also a point when she and Nick “lived in the same building at different times.”
“We just became friends, and we went [for] coffee one day,” she said about the early stages of their friendship. “He had just started going through a divorce, and then started kind of seeing someone else. But we maintained friends through that and really got to know each other.”

Katie said she eventually developed feelings for Nick, but was hesitant to act on them because she didn’t want to ruin their friendship.
“You know when you’re nervous when somebody that you’ve only ever seen platonically and only been friends with, then your feelings maybe start to change, you don’t wanna ruin the vibe by crossing any lines?” she said. “So that’s kinda how we both were. We were both tiptoeing things.”
She continued: “I just really loved the person that he is. And I’m like, ‘You’re just a really, you’re an amazing guy.’ He ended up breaking up with that girl; they broke up in the summertime, and we just became closer friends.”
The relationship reached a new level right before Nick and his band began their 2024 tour. Katie recalled sharing a kiss with Nick right before he hit the road, and recalled telling him, “I wanna come see you.”
“He also asked me to come see him,” Katie clarified. “So, it’s not like I’m the one that’s begging.”
Katie said she ultimately followed through and traveled to see Nick on tour. Two weeks after their initial kiss, Katie and Nick confessed their love for one another.
“I’ve actually never told this [story]…” she said. “It worked out for me.”
