Shep Rose has shared an update on his friendships with Austen Kroll and Craig Conover.
While it’s no secret that the Southern Charm men have butted heads over the years, it appears their bromance is pretty solid these days. Fans got a glimpse at the bond on Instagram over the weekend, when the trio reunited for Shep’s special day.
“Happy birthday to [Shep],” Austen captioned a September 27 Story, “but I hope it’s not that Happy.”
The clip showed Austen and Shep hanging out at a sports bar during the Alabama Crimson Tide vs. the Georgia Bulldogs football game. Austen and Shep were, of course, rooting for their respective alma maters, the University of Alabama and the University of Georgia. UA ultimately secured the win, 24-21.

But that wasn’t all the birthday weekend entailed. Shep and Austen also took a trip to Farmingdale, New York, for the 45th annual Ryder Cup. They were joined by Craig and their good friend Malcolm Gosling Jr., the owner and CEO of Goslings Rum. Shep, being the kind and supportive pal that he is, headed into the golf event rocking a foam Goslings Rum hat shaped like the company’s mascot.
“OK, deliberately looking like a little bit of a maniac,” he said, while showing off his headgear. “Gosling gave this to me. And I like it. It’s a good look. I like seals.”

The Southern Charm-er went on to post several more peeks at the tournament, including his appearance on Breakfast at Bethpage, a live pregame show hosted by his surfing buddy, Saturday Night Live’s Colin Jost.
“Thank you for being here. And it’s your birthday today, right now,” Colin told Shep during the broadcast. “And guess what we got you? A Breakfast at Bethpage birthday presentation.”

A member of the production crew stepped forward and gave Shep a plate of eggs, sausages, and a single birthday candle.
“So much fun at the [Ryder Cup] this weekend,” Shep captioned a September 29 carousel. “Big thanks to [Goslings Rum] for setting the whole thing up. Got to spend time with my friends and sometimes foes [Austen] and [Craig]. We didn’t yell at each other nearly as much as in the past. Is this Progress? Stay tuned… Also honored to be asked to film with my friend [Colin Jost] yesterday morning. He’s so sharp and funny. It’s very annoying. Thanks to [NBC] as well. Great birthday yesterday. But the Dawgs lost. Can’t have it all I suppose!”
