Marcus Johnson’s job is already on the line on Vanderpump Rules Season 12, and Lisa Vanderpump makes it clear that she’s not afraid to send the SUR-ver packing during the above preview of Episode 2, airing on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
“If Marcus thinks he’s invincible at SUR, he’s got another thing coming,” Lisa declares. “There’s a million of out-of-work actors looking for a job. Don’t push me.”
The remark comes after a tense staff meeting on the Vanderpump Rules Season 12 premiere when Lisa called Marcus out for drinking during his shift and told him to “go home.” Now, in the Episode 2 preview, Marcus arrives at the West Hollywood restaurant via its infamous SUR back alley, with flowers in tow.
“I’m nervous right now,” he admits. “The way she kicked me out. Everything she was saying. I’m wondering am I going to get fired. And that’s not a good feeling.”
Marcus and Lisa meet at a table and he hands her the flowers, while saying, “I just wanted to show you a little bit of a gesture.” After a moment, he gets right down to the issue at hand. “I know that that last meeting wasn’t the best. I’m trying to get a chance to apologize for that. I know that was totally out of line,” he confesses.

Rather than being angry, Lisa seems perplexed by what went down during Marcus’ last shift. “I just didn’t understand what’s going on with you, you know? Because you’ve been here three years and you know better than that,” she tells him.
During the season premiere, Lisa had revealed that post COVID-19 pandemic, SUR and West Hollywood hadn’t been “thriving” and admitted there were struggles financially.
She shares more about the pressure on her and the staff in the preview when she says in her confessional interview, “We’re doing everything we can to keep this whole restaurant vibrant and successful.”

Marcus continues his apology by adding, “I just don’t want you to think that that’s like something I’m always going to do. I just wanted to apologize.”
Lisa bluntly asks Marcus if he wants his job at SUR. He replies, “Of course I do — yeah — this is the best thing that’s happened to me.”
But Lisa senses that something is going on beneath the surface with Marcus, and questions him further. “I’ve heard you’re drinking way more than you used to. What’s happening with you?” she asks, and he replies, “I’m okay.”
She presses, “You look tired, and you look thin. And you look unhappy.”
Marcus, for his part, jokingly replies, “Well, that’s no good.”
Fans will have to stay tuned to see how the rest of the conversation goes, though.
Why is Marcus Johnson in trouble with Lisa Vanderpump on Vanderpump Rules Season 12?
In case you need a refresher, Marcus was caught on camera during the Season 12 premiere taking shots with fellow SUR-ver Venus Binkley. He also encouraged his trainee, Jason Cohen, to join in. Although Marcus believed he was hiding his behavior well, he was discovered by Nathalie Pouille-Zapata, Lisa’s business partner.
Lisa called a staff meeting and confronted Marcus about the issue, later telling him to “go home.” She added, “Have a really good think about it, because let me tell you, I don’t want to speak to you anymore.”
ICYMI, Marcus is facing trouble not only in his professional life, but also his love life with girlfriend and SUR-ver Kim Suarez, as she describes one of his friendships as “not appropriate.”
