Rachel Zoe is opening up about her ongoing divorce from her ex-husband, Rodger Berman, today. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 15 cast member had been married to Rodger for 26 years prior to their September 2024 separation, and they share two kids together. In the time since their split, she has been an open book about their divorce and remains candid about her life today.
Rachel first opened up about the dissolution of her marriage during RHOBH Season 15, Episode 1. “There’s a lot of reasons why our relationship was strained,” Rachel said in the episode. “In hindsight, if I had to say a great regret — probably greatest regret — would be working together.”
She continued in the episode, giving more insight into the end of their relationship. “Lines got crossed,” she said. “The person that I was with my whole adult life was, in many ways, unrecognizable. Ultimately that person didn’t feel right around me or my kids.”
In fact, in September, around the time of her birthday, Rachel shed light on this new chapter in her life in a lengthy and emotional Instagram post.
“What a year and what a life I have the privilege of living. It has been by an absolute landslide, the most transformative year of my existence,” she wrote at the time. “I woke up today on my Birthday with my heart so full of love. I am overwhelmed. I am not a friend who leans on people. I am the one who prefers being leaned on. Over the last year, every friend I have, new or old, my lifer RZ team and my family have shown up for me in ways I didn’t know existed. I am me because of all of you and feel as though I am the luckiest girl to be loved and supported by the most special people on earth. My two angels, Sky and Kaius .. Thank you for your limitless love, strength, grace, and wisdom you have shown up with in the most unimaginable ways at an incredibly young age. I remain in constant awe of you both every single day and make me the proudest to be your Mommy. I feel today like the happiest strongest and most free I have ever been. Rachel spoke with PEOPLE in December 2025, where she admitted that she knew things were fractured when she “started to question decisions” and realized that they couldn’t get on the same page “on what certain outcomes should be.”
“I started to feel like this may not be the most advantageous situation for our children,” she explained.

Rachel and Rodger got married on Feb. 14, 1998, according to an Instagram post from 2022. The former couple tied the knot in New York City.

Rachel took to her podcast, Climbing in Heels, in April 2024, where she opened up about their nuptials, which happened after “a very long engagement,” she recalled during the episode. They said “I do” at The Rainbow Room in Rockefeller Center (which is where RHOBH cast member Dorit Kemsley married PK Kemsley in 2015). Rachel’s mom picked out the venue and the date for the couple. “And so at that point, I basically said, ‘Mom, I’ll get my dress, and I want Preston Bailey to do my flowers…You can do the rest. That’s it. And that was it. And I showed up at my wedding,” she said during the episode.
Rachel said “I do” in a white dress from Isaac Mizrahi, which she got made for her wedding after Rodger proposed, and “finally tried it on” one month before her wedding. Rachel also took to her website, where she revealed that she cut bangs before her wedding, which was a “bad idea” and “got a henna tattoo that covered my entire arm to my fingertips that wouldn’t come off just two days before my wedding.”

Rachel and Rodger first met when they were both living in Washington D.C., where they were attending college. “I met Rachel in the summer of 1991,” Rodger recalled in 2011. “She was 19, and I was 22. She was a restaurant hostess and I was working as a waiter in Washington D.C. where we both attended college. I vividly remember the first time I saw her, wearing a tight black mini dress, high heeled pumps, stick straight hair, and big lips covered in M.A.C. Chili lipstick (her trademark). She was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen.”

Rachel has taken to her Instagram account over the years, where she has shared so many photos from her wedding over the years. She took to her Instagram account in February 2022, where she posted a video filled with a series of photos from their 1998 wedding.

Not parents that don’t love each other. They can feel it.”
Rodger spoke with Vanity Fair in December, where he shared an update on their ongoing divorce. “Separation is very amicable, and our relationship is in a great place,” he said. “I no longer have a girlfriend, we broke up.”

I think it’s incredibly important that women also mark this time in their lives.”
