Jesse Solomon and Lexi Wood‘s relationship may be over, but their post-breakup arguments are still going strong on Summer House.
During the Season 9 finale’s horror-themed party, the exes snagged some alone time in the kitchen to unpack their split even more. Though Jesse hoped they could still “end strong,” Lexi informed him, “I just decided I don’t plan on having a friendship with you anytime soon.”Â
Conceding that his desire for them to “be amicable” didn’t feel possible, Jesse added, “The way that you were coming after my character, I don’t appreciate it.”
Lexi, for her part, clapped back that Jesse had also come after her character all summer, and as she attempted to explain that she was referring to him calling her “jealous,” he cut her off in a stunning fourth wall-breaking moment.
“We’re on a f–king reality show,” he shot back. “I’m talking to my friends about my relationship. It’s a concern. I asked my friends for their advice, and you take that as, like, I’m, seems like, calling you a jealous, insecure… Like, I’m not. You’ll watch the show back and you’ll see how much I cared about you.”
After Lexi responded that he’ll also see that she “never said anything” about him, Jesse abruptly ended the heated confrontation and rejoined the party.

Earlier in their chat, Lexi — who custom-painted a “Here Lies Jesse’s Lies” tombstone for the spooky backyard bash — cited her ex’s continued post-breakup “deception” as her reason for not wanting to foster a platonic relationship any longer. “Right now, that’s just not a friendship that I’m looking for,” she told him.
The model further accused Jesse of dragging “the house,” namely Ciara Miller, into their drama.
“I didn’t get the house involved,” he insisted. “I went up to my room to make sure that I didn’t say anything to anyone. I apologize for slipping up and saying one little thing to Ciara.”
However, Lexi fired back that the “one little thing” (i.e. him telling their housemates that she “was upset” he and Ciara repaired their friendship) was “not based on facts” and further illustrated his tendency to only tell “half of the story.” She added that it was also “disheartening” that he invited Ciara to the U.S. Open, instead of her, when he knew she was “doing nothing” that day.
“I don’t wanna keep having to teach you,” Lexi summarized, accusing him of “trying to pit” her against the other women in the house. “That’s why I felt so f–king lonely. And I told you that all summer.”

The conversation echoed comments Lexi already made about Jesse during Lindsay Hubbard‘s “freedom dinner” at the top of the May 21 finale episode.
“I’m breaking up with him because I can’t trust him,” Lexi succinctly explained, after blaming Jesse for her distrust of and inability to “bond” with Ciara. At that point, she’d already brought him “lying about a girl sucking his toe” and “acting single” when she’s not around into the mix, too.
When West Wilson pressed her on what had changed so drastically in recent weeks, the model turned to Jesse and said, “When my friends are asking me, ‘Oh, who are you dating? What’s going on in your life?’ … I’m literally embarrassed to say that I’m dating you because you’ve treated me like s–t for half of our relationship.”
After Jesse denied ever treating Lexi “like s–t,” she responded, “I do think that you lie by omission, or if not lie fully, and I think that you’re sneaky. I think you’re only happy when it’s only me and you. … You only want me to yourself because you like to frickin’ suffocate me.”
