Despite Joe Bradley and Kizzi Kitchener’s best efforts to keep their late-night kiss a secret on Below Deck Mediterranean, they couldn’t totally hide from the cameras.
Right after Joe’s boatmance partner Victoria “V” SanJuan temporarily exited Bravado to recover from an illness at a Barcelona hotel during Season 10, Episode 12, his flirtations with Kizzi began growing into a situation that they both claimed they wanted to avoid (more on that below). By the end of the crew’s night off, however, they locked lips sometime around 1:45 a.m.
Even though Joe and Kizzi seemed to strategically avoid standing in view of a mounted camera aboard Bravado, the audio of them kissing could still be heard loud and clear.

In a fourth wall-breaking moment that occurred immediately afterward, Joe appeared to realize that they might not have been as stealthy as they’d hoped. “The camera…” he remarked to Kizzi. “I’m gonna f–king throw it as hard as I can. F–k.”
In the interim, a member of the production team came running down the stairs to where Joe and Kizzi were posted up in a dark corner on the deck.
As Joe swiftly ushered her back inside the vessel, Kizzi whispered to him, “Just don’t speak about it ever.”

In between charters, the yachties had enjoyed a night out in Barcelona. When Joe escorted Kizzi to the restroom, several of their fellow crew members, including Nathan Gallagher and Aesha Scott, clocked their heavy flirting and expressed hope that the two wouldn’t actually cross the line into an actual hookup amid V’s absence.
Back on Bravado, the romantic tension between the two heated up — literally — as they snuggled up to each other in the vessel’s hot tub.
“I think we should probably go before we fall in love,” Kizzi told Joe, who replied, “Yes, before this turns into a problem.”

After exiting the hot tub, the two continued their playful one-on-one chat on the deck. Though Kizzi admitted that she thought Joe was “sexy,” they both repeated that they absolutely could not hook up with each other, out of respect for V.
“It’s not even on the table, babes,” Kizzi told the shirtless lead deckhand while wearing his sweater over her swimsuit.
As Joe, for his part, explained to a producer, “It’s like a massive battle between what I want and don’t want. Like, what I know is wrong and what I know is right.”
Though the pair announced that they were returning to their separate bunks at that point, they snuck off camera first for their aforementioned kiss, instead.

Immediately after returning to their room, Nathan asked Joe, “What the f–k happened tonight?” His cryptic response: “I can’t remember. But it might cost me.”
The next morning, Joe further claimed to fellow deckhand Max Salvador that all he could remember was that he had “fun” with Kizzi.
A producer, meanwhile, similarly questioned Joe about his recollections from the previous night. After first claiming that he remembered “absolutely nothing,” Joe clarified that he could put together some “bits and pieces,” before adding, “What I remember is a blur.”
Later, during an emotional FaceTime call with his mom, Joe tearfully blamed the fact that he was “drunk” for making a “mistake” behind V’s back.
Kizzi, for her part, played coy when Chef Josh Bingham asked her to spill the “gossip,” but confessed to a producer afterward that she intended to deny anything happened, in hopes of keeping V from ever finding out about the kiss. Regardless, she said that she wouldn’t necessarily take back their smooch.
“Here’s the thing: I don’t regret having a kiss with Joe. We’ve had great vibes literally from the day he walked on,” Kizzi elaborated, before acknowledging the upcoming anniversary of V’s late boyfriend’s death. “But I think because this is a sentimental time for V, just to, like, add more fuel to the fire is a really s–tty thing to do.”
