Inside John Pringle’s life as a dad
John’s Instagram account reflects how proud he is of his children. He took to Instagram in August, where he posted a photo alongside one of his children. In the picture, John can be seen smiling so widely next to one of his boys, as he also smiled for the camera.
Last year, John took his sons to their first concert ever, which is so fitting, since John is musically inclined. John took to Instagram in October 2024, where he revealed that he took his boys to a Pearl Jam concert. In April of that year, John also got so sentimental over his sons in the sweetest Instagram post. “Sometimes I can get caught in the negative,” he wrote in the caption of the video. “And I have to remind myself that these years with my boys are the best years I’ll ever have.Â

According to John’s Instagram bio, he is a “song writer” and “realtor at Carolina One.” John’s website has several listings on it and his Instagram account is filled with videos of him performing and sharing songs. He even performs his music live, recently popping up at a Charleston boutique in September to play his music.
Is John Pringle single after splitting from his ex-wife?
It is a little unclear if John is single these days. However, during his time on Southern Charm, he opened up about his relationship with his ex-wife, Heidi. In 2021, he admitted to Us Weekly that Heidi was “on board” with him being on Southern Charm, but was also “borderline indifferent” about it.
“She’s been great,” he said at the time. “We’ve come a long way from the beginning. And like anybody who’s been through something like this knows…once you hit that acceptance phase, all of a sudden things sort of even out. She’s been great about it and very helpful to me and figuring out how to see the kids as much as possibly can.”

John took to his Instagram Story in April 2024, where he revealed that he had met up with Shep and his dog, Lil’ Craig, to do some karaoke. “Shep and little Craig giving their all at karaoke,” he wrote over their performance. “Feels like old times.”

John opened up about his friendship with Shep to Us Weekly in 2021. “Shep and I have always been in this weird thing where we both have, I think, a certain orbit that we exist in,” he said of his former college classmate. “I think both of us, maybe, like to be the center of that orbit sometimes. So, like, I’ll float into his or he’ll float into mine…I love the kid.”

Although John’s last name is Pringle, he is not associated with the Pringle chip brand. He opened up about this during a January 2021 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen where he admitted that he has always been called “Pringle” since he began playing sports as a kid.
