Kandi Burruss admits she’s facing the unknown amid her marital split from Todd Tucker, but she’s maintaining a positive outlook.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum addressed her new chapter in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, saying she couldn’t really “define” her post-divorce “era”… not yet, at least.
“I don’t really know where it’s gonna be, but I know wherever it’s going to be, it’s going to be amazing,” she said. “I’m gonna make sure of that. How about that?”

The interview went down during Kandi’s promotional tour for & Juliet, a Broadway musical production in which she plays the titular character’s nurse, Angélique. Kandi’s & Juliet run began on December 11 and will include eight shows a week through March 2026. Her eldest daughter, Next Gen NYC‘s Riley Burruss, celebrated the career move in a December 12 Instagram Story, posting a video of Kandi’s first curtain call in the show.
“Momma killing it on broadway!!” Riley captioned the clip. “I’m so proud of you.”

The Grammy winner said preparing for the show was “challenging” and “healing,” as the demanding rehearsals provided a distraction from her relationship woes and forced her to concentrate on herself.
“I’m doing good. Honestly, this show is really helping me,” she told the outlet. “It’s making me refocus on me, you know what I mean? It’s making me get back into working out, doing my vocal training, and it’s giving me something to do, more importantly.
“I put myself in a headspace where I have to show up and be my best self,” she added. “I have my moments, just like everybody else, where I get emotional, but then you snap out of it.”

“Great job,” he captioned a video of the duet. “Keep inspiring and doing your thing.”

The exchange underscored the ex-couple’s effort to keep their divorce and coparenting dynamic amicable. This was also proven during their joint Thanksgiving celebration with their family, including their 9-year-old son, Ace Tucker, and 6-year-old daughter, Blaze Tucker.
Kandi offered a glimpse at the holiday get-together in a November 27 Instagram photo in which she and her relatives posed in her Georgia mansion.
“Happy Thanksgiving!” she captioned the post. “I truly enjoyed my day with my fam. I hope you enjoyed yours! Now I feel stuffed like a turkey & need to lay down.”
Although Todd did not appear in the family photo, Kandi reassured fans that it wasn’t because he was purposely excluded.
“Before anyone assumes anything Todd came earlier to eat with us but he wasn’t there for the pic,” she wrote in the comments. “He was not left out or anything like that.”
