Kandi Burruss & DonJuan Clark Share Friendship Update (DECEMBER 2025)

The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kandi Burruss could always count on her longtime business associate DonJuan Clark to be “the perfect right-hand man.” Well, according to a recent social media post, their relationship remains “well protected.”

DonJuan shared the update on a Dec. 16 Instagram post, showing Kandi and the General Manager of her Kandi Koated Entertainment multimedia and production company posing close together for a holiday-themed outing with friends. Kandi, herself, responded with “Love you,” proving their 20-plus-year friendship remains on solid ground.

And, if that wasn’t proof enough, Kandi paid tribute to DonJuan in a Nov. 9 Instagram post, dropping photo after photo of their time together. From their victory on the celebrity version of Family Feud to red-carpet moments, costume parties, and throwbacks, their one-of-a-kind bond continues to withstand the test of time.

“I am so blessed to have you in my life,” Kandi captioned for DonJuan’s birthday. “So appreciative for everything you do to keep things popping for me. I pray this year be a continuous run of Wins for you! Love you bro!”

Who is Kandi Burruss’s longtime business associate, DonJuan Clark?

DonJuan Clark is Kandi’s Chief of Staff, taking on a major role in her business-related matters and serving as part of her Kandy Koated entourage. His official title, per the businessman’s LinkedIn profile, is entertainment executive, and his responsibilities include music campaign management, stakeholder relations, event and production management, and more. But, above all, he’s Kandi’s trusted ride-or-die friend.

The friends met in the early aughts when Kandi was pregnant with her first child, Next Gen NYC’s Riley Burruss, as DonJuan explained in 2022 to BravoTV.com. At the time, he was an online marketer for MySpace pages, and Kandi began referring him to clients.

“We always just kind of kept this relationship going,” he said. And then Kandi’s RHOA career took off in 2009. At the time, the Grammy Award-winning musician invited him to move from North Carolina to Atlanta to work with her. “It was a wide-open concept,” DonJuan explained. “I literally got a U-Haul. We drove a U-Haul down [to Atlanta], and I moved into a place and drove the U-Haul back, and that was kinda what happened. We looked up, and I was here, like, a few weeks later.”

Kandi Burruss sheds light on DonJuan Clark’s Bravo appearances

Before he knew it, DonJuan was a staple of Kandi’s ever-expanding career, and before long, he was involved in some of Riley and Todd’s business dealings as well. Although he appeared here and there on RHOA, he stepped out even more in the spin-off, Kandi & The Gang, which centered around Kandi and now-estranged husband, Todd Tucker’s, southern-style restaurant, Old Lady Gang. In that capacity, DonJuan worked as the eatery’s administrative manager.

Back in 2022, Kandi explained that although RHOA fans got to see DonJuan “this whole time,” his role on Kandi & The Gang let audiences into “his personal world.” She added, “I think sometimes on Real Housewives, because he’s taken up for me on the times that he’s been on, I feel like people vilify DonJuan. But on this show, it’s like he’s just himself. He gets to be his natural self, without being automatically put in [that] role.”

DonJuan Clark sheds light on his Family Feud appearance with Kandi Burruss

It was proven that DonJuan remained close to the family when he joined Kandi, Riley, plus Kandi’s stepdaughter, Kaela Tucker, and cousin Patrick “Kight” Dallas for a celebrity version of the game show, Family Feud. In the August 2025 episode, the “Kandi-Koated Clique” went head-to-head with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Kyle Richards and her daughters, Farrah Aldjufrie, Alexia Umansky, Sophia Umansky, and Portia Umansky.

It was the Atlanta-based Bravolebs for the win, raising money for Kandi’s charity, the Kandi C.A.R.E.S Foundation, to assist single-parent families. “Still feels surreal,” DonJuan wrote on Instagram. “Growing up, I watched Family Feud with my grandma, and now I’ve actually been a contestant on Celebrity Family Feud! Having my mom, family, and friends in the audience made the moment even more special.”
