Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker are doing everything for their children amid their divorce. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum and her entrepreneur ex had been married for 11 years prior to their separation, and have now entered a new chapter in their co-parenting relationship.
Kandi appeared on TODAY with Jenna and Sheinelle in January, where she opened up about how she is able to co-parent their two children — 9-year-old son, Ace Tucker, and 6-year-old daughter Blaze Tucker — with Todd. “We have determined that no matter what, we are always going to be great co-parents for our kids,” she said in a clip from the show posted to Instagram.
“So that means that, you know, we’re going to spend holidays together sometimes because we’re still family even though he and I have decided to go our separate ways,” she continued. “And we try to make it as easy as possible for our children.”
Kandi Burruss reveals how daughter, Blaze Tucker, is following in her footsteps
Both Kandi and Todd have taken to Instagram over the past few weeks to share some major updates on all of their kids. Kandi took to Instagram on Feb. 18, where she revealed that Blaze has adopted her love of singing. Kandi posted a video of her little girl singing while looking at her iPad. “My little [Blaze Tucker] wanted to perform for me!” she wrote in the caption of the post. “You betta sang, Blaze!”
But Blaze isn’t just good at singing. She’s also excelling in her studies, too. The proud parents took to Blaze’s personal Instagram account on Feb. 10, where they revealed that Blaze was awarded “best reader” in one of her classes. “Our little princess got the BEST READER Award from Mandarin class!” they wrote in the caption of the post.

Todd Tucker shares a look at his life as a dad to his two kids, Ace and Blaze
Todd spent Valentine’s Day this year with both Ace and Blaze while celebrating Ace’s accomplishments. Todd first took to Instagram on Feb. 10, where he posted a video of Ace perfectly throwing a basketball into a hoop, and a photo of his son posing with his basketball trophy. “Stay Ballin!” he wrote in the caption of the post.
Days later, he celebrated Valentine’s Day with his two kids. He first took to Instagram, where he posted a series of photos of him doing Blaze’s hair, before she posed with a bouquet of roses outside of her daycare. “Happy Valentine’s Day from Daycare and [Blaze Tucker],” he wrote in the caption of the post. That same day, he also revealed on Instagram that he took both Ace and Blaze to a museum where they played with Legos and participated in virtual reality.
“I had a great day with my little ones Ace Boogie and Blaze Butterfly,” he wrote in the caption of the post.
Kandi Burruss shares an update on her relationship with her daughter, Riley Burruss
Kandi has also remained close with her oldest daughter, Next Gen NYC‘s Riley Burruss, whom she has from a previous relationship. The Broadway performer took to Instagram during New York Fashion Week, where she posted a series of photos of herself and Riley dressed to the nines.
“Well [Riley Burruss], you may have grown up [and] are doing big things, but you’ll always be my baby!” she wrote in the caption of the post.
