Despite predicting on the show that she likely would never “be with these women again” after the shocking polygraph test debacle, Katie has since reversed course, revealing her intention to attend the RHOC reunion to multiple media outlets. What’s more, she believes there’s still hope for her friendships with at least some of the other ladies.

“I think maybe there’s a possibility of a fresh start after the reunion,” she recently explained to E! News. “That’s what everybody hopes, right? This show is about conflict resolution, and I think I’m owed some apologies. I’ve given enough out.”

As she awaits the annual sitdown with cast — including Shannon Storms Beador, Heather Dubrow, Tamra Judge, Gina Kirschenheiter, Jennifer Pedranti, Emily Simpson, and friend Gretchen Rossi — Katie admitted to feeling “part confident and part extremely nervous,” before further unpacking her reunion expectations.

“I’m hoping that they can recognize that they’ve done things wrong,” she added. “I have literally apologized over and over and over and owned the things I needed to. And, if they expect that of me, I need to expect it in return.”

In a separate interview with Us Weekly, however, Katie clarified that she’s “actually putting the reunion off on a file folder in the back of my head,” for now, prior to echoing her aforementioned comments.

“It’s just a very daunting thing,” the mom of four continued. “I don’t think I need anything cleared up. I think I need some apologies.”

Katie Ginella reveals if she wants to reconcile with Jennifer Pedranti

One person whom Katie has already expressed a desire to make up with is her former bestie Jenn — and perhaps the reunion will afford them that opportunity.

Even despite the “hard and really hurtful” drama that’s already transpired between them, Katie said on The Real Housewives of Orange County After Show that, at least from her perspective, there was no “last straw” that rendered their friendship irreparable.

“I so hope Jenn and I can move past it and move on and be friends again because I really miss her,” she shared, before detailing the tight bond they once had. “I woke up every morning at 7, and we laid in bed and talked every single morning. I don’t talk badly about Jenn. It literally just makes me sad.”

Jenn, for her part, left more gray area about a potential reconciliation with Katie, though. Separately on the RHOC After Show, she described their Episode 9 meetup as being “probably the end” of their friendship. Even so, Jenn admitted that she also misses the close relationship they once shared.

Post-filming, she and Katie even already had a brief “text exchange,” in which they both said they were “heartbroken” over the falling out. Meanwhile, Katie noted that she would be “available” whenever Jenn was ready to talk things out.

As Jenn added, “Here’s the thing: Yeah, let’s have a conversation, but you gotta meet me with some realness.”

Katie Ginella sheds light on her RHOC friend group exit

Elsewhere on RHOC Season 19, Episode 9, which aired on Sept. 4, Katie opened up about her future in the friend group after Jenn declined to defend her amid claims she “failed” the lie-detector test at Emily’s Persian New Year celebration. (Katie has consistently maintained that she “didn’t lie” about the drama involving her, Tamra, Gretchen, and a blogger.)

“I don’t think there’s any coming back from this,” Katie told a producer, before admitting to husband Matt Ginella, “I don’t think I’ll ever be with these women again.”

She specifically called out Jenn’s lack of support on the After Show, describing how she was “most hurt” that her onetime BFF never even reached out to her the night of Emily’s party.

“If the tables were turned, I would’ve called her, text her,” Katie elaborated. “Even if I thought she was in the wrong, she’s a friend; I would’ve checked on her. I think that she said all she needed to say, without saying anything.”

She concluded, “I trusted too many people. I’m just an oversharer who trusts everybody.”
